“Variety of tasty food, we tried asada tacos, Alambre MAFER, asada quesadillas, all very delicious.
Also in the same place on Saturdays and Sundays in the morning they sell cochinita pibil, a true delight, the best we have tried by far, meat that falls apart after cooking for more than fourteen hours. The exceptional cochinita pibil cake. We will always return!“

“Good tacos, a bit pricier than I expected but still a good value meal or snack—105 pesos for 2 tacos (a birria and a pollo). They were ready quickly, but that resulted in the chicken being a bit cold, definitely not fresh, although it was loaded on the taco. It seemed to be good quality chicken, some pieces were pretty hard, likely increased because they were lukewarm. Each taco had a small piece of avocado. The toppings were good, a hot salsa and a mild, and a mix of onion and cilantro. The birria had a bit of fat but not too bad. The beverage options are limited—a couple of sodas (Coke and sprite) and still water.“

“So good! Absolutely enormous tacos literally the biggest I’ve ever seen in my life (the fish taco was literally an entire fillet of fish) and soooo filling. Couldn’t even finish 3! We recommend the carnitas, pescado del día y los locos are the best!
Pro tip - if you go at happy hour (3 tacos & 1 margarita for 300 pesos) MAKE SURE YOU SPECIFY that you want that deal! The margarita that comes with the happy hour is much smaller, we got stung a bit with the bill at the end as we didn’t realise or specify that what we wanted was the happy hour deal and were brought our food plus regular sized (enormous) margaritas. But that was our fault :)
The complimentary 2 churros donuts at the end were also so great and such a nice touch. Muchas gracias!
Also big plus to the decor - absolutely loved it“

“Ate all over the island at unique/authentic restaurants. This place stands out. We had fantastic food, service, atmosphere each time. The employees were friendly and seemed grateful we had chosen their place. We ended up going back for a second time the same week. Highly recommended!“

“Avoid Tourist Traps and eat the local food.
Not only was it 10x cheaper than the recommended places from hotels and resorts... the food was phenomenal. THIS is the spirit of Isla Mujeres on a plate, so do yourself a favor and stray off the beaten path and experience Mexico as you should with real Mexican cuisine.“

“Was soll man sagen hier wird sich sehr bemüht das man glücklich ist. Die beiden netten Bedienungen haben einen sehr guten Service gemacht und haben auch Bede merklich viel Spaß an ihrer Arbeit. Die Tacos waren sehr lecker und das Dessert was man hier liest und gratis bekommt konnte sich auch sehen lassen. Würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.“

“Quick, friendly service and the food is delicious. The price is very reasonable for eating out on the island. The Huevos Motulenos are excellent especially when you add the fresh habanero pico on top. Great place all around, I can't recommend it enough.“

“The food is very delicious, the attention and service was very good all the time, the flank steak and pastor tacos are too delicious but for me my favorite was the gringa campechana. If you have the opportunity to go, I highly recommend it, the place is very picturesque.“
“If you are looking for an authentic Mexican food experience, look no further than Locheria. Large, delicious food portions, reasonable costs, all while sitting in the dining room area of a local family. Deisy is very pleasant and busy but helpful. The chicken fajitas were to die for and the green enchilada (filled with shredded chicken) was savory and deliciously spicy. Buckets of sauces including one with spicy potatoes are freely available so patrons can add them to their dishes. We saw several locals drop in for takeaway so you know the food is amazing. We heard the chicken lime soup is amazing so we will be back again and again. Very cost effective.“

“Very rich. We ordered chilaquiles and a fruit plate. Fast and attentive service. In the chilaquiles dish I would only ask that they add some more homemade beans and not canned or commercial ones. Prices were approximately $400 pesos for 2 people plus tip.“

“Excellent restaurant authentique à Isla Mujeres, loin des restaurants « touristiques ». Vous pourrez y déguster des mets locaux dont des spécialités du Yucatan (je recommande Tampiquenia). Les prix sont très raisonnables et le personnel très sympathique. Merci !“
“The chicharrón taco is really good. The tortilla is handmade. Tacos everywhere else on this island cost at least 50 pesos, but here you can get one for half price. Not to mention, this place is owned by local indigenous women whom I would love to support.“
“Popped in for a quick lunch before they closed. Everything made in the morning. Tacos were the freshest we have had on the island. Meat very moist. Sauces tasty. And the best chicharrones I have tasted anywhere. 175 pesos for 5 tacos and two bottles of water. Lots of locals!!“

“Tacos are good. You can buy 1/2 kilo of carne al Pastor and make your own tacos. We did ask for cebollas asadas and queso fundido and frijoles refritos. They did bring small tortillas that are used for tacos al Pastor. The prices were really cheap and the service was super fast. It is a great place and I highly recommend it. We visited the place after being on the beach and before we went back in the ferry to Cancun. This is a place I will definitely visit again.
Vegetarian options: They have cebollas asadas, ensalada de nopales, queso fundido frijoles refritos
Kid-friendliness: Is a place where you see families with kids. Tables are basically on a street or inside the restaurant and is a very friendly place.“
“This place is dedicated to live music, which I love too. I'll upload the happy hour menu and some other pictures. You can't beat the happy hour prices and the music is always good. I once dined downstairs and had some middle eastern combo plate with falafel and humus. They have two or three bands a day.“

“Spectacular place! During my visit to the island I went several times, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Price quality does not disappoint, you eat very well. Many options and fresh food and above all excellent service. Every person who tells me that they are going to Isla Mujeres I recommend that they go and try something here. Amazing location!“

“Came here twice. Back to back nights. The tacos are great, good meat, great salsas and toppings. Our first night their they ran out of cilantro, which was no biggie. The following night they had it all. Great price. Our new favorite place to get tacos de al pastor. Pesos only.“
“Very happy to find this little Taco Stand, wish I would have found sooner! I was just driving around aimlessly looking for something local and noticed this taco stand, the locals were eating there so you know it’s a good spot! I was charged 28 pesos per taco, which I’m sure is more than the locals but I don’t mind paying it because it’s $1.65 per taco ya cheap whiners. The last sentence goes out to all the other reviews before me.“
“How can you beat the best street tacos you have ever had, at $2 each, with the balmy ocean breeze cooling off your fired up tastebuds, and the cheesy Macarena music coming From the nearby stingray? You cannot. This is the best eating in Isla Mujeres.“

“Awesome, homemade traditional food. Restaurant is family owned like all of them in the loncheria. Seems to be the spot that a lot of locals like to go as well. If you’re looking for real Mexican breakfast or lunch then this is one of the places to go. I had the burrito de res and my fiancée had the huevos a la mexicana. Also very affordable. Most of the restaurants in Isla are going to be slightly overpriced and not very traditional.“

“Awesome taco’s, local experience in Isla Mujeres. The owner was diamond. We had the beef tacos…the tripe was delicious. Definitely planning to go again. Menu changes everyday. We paid about 100MX for 5 tacos and it was the best food we’ve had on our trip so far“
