“Highly recommended if you are in Tulum city.
We went back every night for a taco.
15 pesos each or 20 pesos with cheese.
For a small eater or if you have already had lunch, 3/4 tacos are enough.“
“This place has been around for a very long time. I don't know where all their prior reviews went, but they had hundreds of high reviews from people traveling between Tulum and PDC. Don't expect anything fancy or great service, but you will have some of the best cochinita pibil tacos around. That's all they serve; no carne "estrada", no nachos, no nothing other than cochinita. It's front and center where you can see it, and the tacos are made up front as well. Ask for your favorite beer or refreshment, then ask for three or four tacos. If you're out before the server comes back, just go over to where the tacos are being made and hold up 4 fingers for four more tacos. Simple as that. Quick, cheap, and delicious. Another heads up, they don't speak much, if any, English at all.“

“This is a fantastic place to visit for a quick and flavorful meal. The food is authentic, well prepared, and fresh. They have a good selection of dishes that are moderately priced. The service was good, and the order came out quickly.
We tried the Tacos and Tortas. The taco was served on 2 soft tortillas, and it was loaded with delightful minced pork. The Torta was super stuffed with carne Al pastor.
Both dishes were nicely seasoned and didn't have any hot pepper added. If you wanted some heat, you could add hot sauces from a condiment tray.
Overall, the food was tastey, warm, and well well received. If traveling in Tulum, you should check this spot out.“
“We had great fajitas and smoothies. It’s a nice outdoor atmosphere and friendly service. Our server was a little overwhelmed with people arriving at the same time so the chef, Arielle, came out to help. She was terrific. She took into account some dietary needs we had and was friendly and very cheerful. The best service and food we’ve had in Tulum.“

“The place is super beautiful, with wood and straw decor, and a proposal to deliver the Mezcal tradition and some Yucatán dishes. The Mezcalita de Jamaica is delicious and the burgers are very large, and come with potatoes. Very recommendable!“

“If you're in Tulum and craving the best tacos in town, Pepe is an absolute must-visit. Don't let your trip end without indulging in Pepe's flavorful creations. With options ranging from chorizo to chicken, shrimp to beef, there's something to satisfy every palate. Don't hesitate to pile on extra toppings like pineapple or mushrooms to elevate your taco experience. And let's talk about their sauce selection – a game-changer! From mild to fiery, each sauce adds an extra dimension of flavor, but beware of the spicy one; it's not for the faint of heart. Wash it all down with one of their fantastic drink offerings, each one a delicious adventure in itself. Be sure to arrive early as Pepe is a hotspot and tends to sell out of their mouthwatering chicken quickly. Despite the long lines, the wait is absolutely worth it for a taste of Tulum's taco paradise at Pepe.
Vegetarian options: "While Pepe offers a variety of tantalizing options, including vegan choices, it's important to note that these dishes are all prepared on the same grill. While they strive to accommodate dietary preferences, cross-contamination is a possibility. So, if you have strict dietary requirements or preferences, it's advisable to inquire with the staff about alternative cooking methods or options to ensure your meal meets your needs.“

“Stopped here on our self-guided taco tour. The family was so nice, with the grandmother and grandson bringing over games of chess and snakes and ladders to play with us as we waited. The margarita was the only semi-expensive item (and it was very nice and strong to make up for that), but the tacos themselves were cheap and delicious. Homemade tortillas. My favorite taco the pollo barbacoa. The juices menu looked really nice, but alas, it was margarita time.“

“Great sizable tacos, so don’t wait too late to drop by. They do sell out. Pork, beef (20) and shrimp tacos (45) on corn tortillas are well worth it. There’s some seating at the cart and a small table nearby with a few stools. Along with a water station to clean your hands after. Great street taco experience.“

“Each dish is worth it, the suckling pig is very very good and has an excellent balance in price and quality of the food, it should be noted that there were two of us and we ate well and for a good price
Highly recommended if you are in Tulum and are hungry“
“El taco de mole negro, aunque me pareció que era mole poblano, está muy rico, las tortillas son hechas a mano. El chico que atiende es muy amable y te da buenas sugerencias. Lo único que no nos gustó es que no tienen muchas opciones de bebidas. Solo había agua del día sin azúcar, y bebidas gasificadas.“

“My fave taco spot in Tulum. Quality of the meats were great and the price is amazing. I tried to avoid eating at restaurant that appeal to tourist as prices are comparable to back where I’m from in Toronto, Canada.
The chorizo taco was my fave.
I will definitely be back on my next visit!“

“RUN, don’t walk to El Bajon. Their vegan tacos are absolutely delicious and only $25 per taco! My favorites are the Milanesa and the Carnitas & my boyfriend tried almost all of the other kinds and loved them all. Nice salsa bar with toppings so you can load up your tacos how you like them. The staff is friendly and the service is very fast.“

“I went to have some tacos for breakfast, I ordered mine with beef and my partner ordered ribs, they were delicious and with enough meat. I see that most of them ask to take away since they only open three times a week and everything runs out very quickly. The waters are very rich by the way. For the service it was fast. Undoubtedly one more option for weekend breakfasts ?“

“Cool!!! Excellent service and drinks. The best tacos in the form of real tacos (with their radish, their tortilla chips, their pickles, their multicolored sauces) and the tortillas!! THE TORTILLAS! in tuluminatilandia. The best quality/price ratio we have seen in Tulum!“

“Simply the best tacos we tried in Tulum. We came on the recommendation of a local, and it was a great success. Everything is delicious, but the al pastor tacos are incredible. Sublime price quality. If you are staying in Tulum and want local food, you have to come.“

“Good pretty and cheap. The tacos are good in terms of price-quality compared to other taquerias in the area. The flavor is good and they are not as greasy as in other taquerias, plus the people who serve are friendly and diligent.
Parking: You can park on the street for free but it will depend on the time of day.“

“This hit the spot I’ve been wanting since we arrived. It was a last minute choice because it was nearby our stay. Guacamole was amazing. The lady who helped us was so kind and helpful (which means so much because being in a foreign country is already a little stressful) and the food was good! Great price too. I want to come back for more chips and guac. So good.“

“Such a great spot! Super friendly and attentive servers, great food and drinks, and a very amazing atmosphere. We tried almost every drink on the menu, including their extensive craft beer menu featuring over a dozen local and regional beers. Walkable from many of the newly developed Airbnb and hotels in the area, and a nice change of scenery from the main drag of downtown Tulum.“

“I dare to say that they are the best tacos I have tried in Quintana Roo, they are various stews such as pork rinds, picadillo, stuffed chile, tinga, pork loin, among others... Handmade tortilla and several delicious sauces... I will return every time you visit Tulum!“

“Delicious place to eat with excellent atmosphere and customer service. The super friendly and attentive manager. The place is spacious with seats and tables outside and inside. We ordered several tacos, a marlin and shrimp burrito (recommended) and a chilorio crust (super recommended). The taco we loved the most was the soft shell crab (one of our favorite foods on our entire trip). The portions are of good size. The drinks are also excellent with a great selection. We would definitely return.

“They need better attention from their staff, cleaning tables, putting napkin rings, sauces and more, you have to be asking for the waiting times that can be improved and better air conditioning. They have a good clientele, the prices with the service they offer are high... the place has potential. ...“
“I tried the chicken enchilado with my friends and we were fascinated! Very delicious and with a homemade flavor, we paid $130 for a package that included the stew, rice, beans, lettuce and lemon water ? a very delicious and filling dish, I will definitely return on my next visit ?“
“Such a nice vibe here, it really is a decent spot outside of the main hustle and bustle of Tulum centre. Lots of options for food (pizza, sushi, tacos, burgers and more) and a bar. We came on our first night, very tired after a 10 hour flight and the first tacos we had in Mexico and they were very tasty! While we were there there was a group salsa session going on which was nice to watch. Everyone there was super friendly, would really recommend here to any travellers who may not know it exists“
“The food was authentic and delicious. I loved how you could serve yourself your sides (salsa & spices). The price is unbeatable. Could tell it was a great place to eat as it was packed all the time. Service was great considering they didn’t speak a lot of English. Would eat at again!“

“Best Al Pastor on the main street of Pueblo Tulum. MXN 15 each. If you eat there, order 2 x 2 tacos at a time. That's how the locals do it and the meat is piled up high. If you order like 5 on a plate, they go e you roughly the same mean of 2 tacos. We ate here and took food to go about 4 times. Our go to for the area.“
