This place is partly why we drove from Montreal for a couple days... it's not our first time here and it won't be our last! While our tour director raved about Deluxe Fish & Chips Ltd in Truro, their $21 lobster roll was a massive disappointment—bland, boiled meat drowned in 75% iceberg lettuce on cheap white bread.Pirates, on the other hand, was an absolute triumph that our guide completely missed. Their lobster roll is pure perfection: packed with an abundant amount of flavorful lobster served on perfectly toasted bread. Every bite was amazing, and fellow travelers told us their clam plate is spectacular, too. Skip the tourist traps and make this your mandatory stop! (For Roadside food it was great). Staff very friendly and patient and the restaurant was clean.“

“I’m from and live in south central New Brunswick and I’ve dined here 3 times in the last few years. Each time I’ve been here and especially the last time, the atmosphere was awesome. We sat in the lounge area for our meal and the place was packed with what seemed like no end to people coming into the restaurant and clearly a huge attraction for snowmobilers. The music was great and the food was amazing! The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and one of those types who goes above & beyond for her customers! Despite the packed place, the wait for food was not all that long. The chicken club sandwich was 10/10 (and I’ve sampled many over the years at different restaurants lol). The plate was loaded, enough for 2 meals. I also loved seeing my country’s flag flying along with theirs in the yard. Highly highly recommend this spot!“
