Stopped in for a drink and snack on the weekend. 5 of us ordered. first girl got hers . The fries were so cold its like they make them a head of time and just throw it on your plate as after thought. She ate slowly but completely finished her meal before we went to the window to see if ours was close to being ready. For the wait and price of the food, it would have been nice if it...read full review
Sorry to say I would not recommend this place after today. Stopped by for a beer and a bite. Ordered at 1:35pm, waited until 2:20 before we went to the window to see what the hold up was. Our food was finally at the window and when we asked for a takeout container our server roles his eyes like it was an inconvenience. Went this afternoon at 1:30 pm, ordered a chicken sandwich and fish and chips. Waited 55 minutes. Had to get takeout containers because we had places to be. When we got our food, the fish and chips were cold, they gave us one fork and one knife. How am I supposed to eat my salad? Cave man style I guess. AND, we got the stink eye when we asked for takeout containers because it had taken 55 minutes

540 North is a popular restaurant offering a diverse menu with seasonal changes. The portions are generous, and the food is described as delicious. Highlights include a veg salad with roasted chicken and a maple/lemon dressing, a pulled pork sandwich, and a great fried chicken sandwich with delicious fries. The restaurant is known for its accessibility and kid-friendly atmosphere, with an amazing place to enjoy it by the water, right near the bridge. However, some customers have found the food to be underwhelming and overpriced. Wait times can be long, and the atmosphere can be crowded and noisy, with barking dogs in the eating area.
