“I was going in cause mom didn't want to wait in line in a hot car (we don't prefer AC) for our icecoffeesSo I went in to discover a happy and full staff working well togetherNo line cause again everyoywas In the drive throughParking: Everybody there definitely knew their place and spacingThe combined with the gas station people were zipping around here and there pretty good. It's not a place to be unsure of where you're going. Or walking out in front of people for sure. You might spill their coffee lol”
“A cute and cozy little diner with homemade food.I had a grilled cheese sandwich with a tomato slice and poutine. The bread was freshly baked and delicious. The service was good with a friendly owner.I would definitely go back again.Vegetarian options: There was plenty of vegetarian choices on the menu:- vegetarian burger - grilled cheese with tomato-macaroni and cheese -perogies”
“Burgers are homemade and the poutine with chicken gravy is delicious. I like that you can order the main without a side for a lower price if you are wanting somethinga little smaller. The booths are a bit dated and uncomfortable, but not so much so as that it affects your dining experience. We have stopped in a few times and always have great service and good food. We almost didn't go in the first time because the entrance was a bit confusing and it looked closed, but I'm glad we decided to try the door.Parking: There is a small lot at the pub, street parking, as well as a small lot across the street.”
“Small popular ice cream shop with plenty of delicious flavors of ice cream as well as soft serve and other dessert options. A must-stop when passing Saint George, easily accessible from Route 1 from either direction. We specifically take the family their and then head to New River Beach when the weather is nice enough to do so.”
“Cozy and discreet seating available as well as well spaced dining room area. Reservations recommended for discreet eating booths.Excellent food items, especially if you like seafood. Great burgers and kids menus as well.”
“My receipt reads, Fortune River Asian Restaurant. It's a recently opened place, a gem among the pubs in the town of St. George. The large menu lists dishes of the various ethnicities, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai. We shared Singapore Noodles and Salt -and-pepper Shrimp. Never had better, the beef in the noodle dish was tender and both dishes were perfectly seasoned (perhaps too salty for a few diners, but great for both of us). The shrimp were large, what I call two-biters, and lightly dusted with cornstarch, which gave them wonderful texture. I would expect Thai curries and Vietnamese pho soups to be of the same high standard. Lots of take out orders the Saturday we were there, and since everything is cooked to order, large orders may have some dishes at a lower temp than later cooked ones. Better to eat there IMO. Great food!”
“Life on Deer Island requires a little planning when heading to the mainland for supplies. Especially when we are down to one ferry! One of my routine stops in St. George is the Birch Grove. Besides the staff always offering a smile and the most amazing pies in the province, they make a mean turkey dinner with all of the fixings. I give them a call when I get to town and order a couple of dinners to take back with me. They are fast, the food is fresh and made just like you remember when you were a kid. It is also a lovely place to visit for a nice sit down dinner with friends. If you don’t have room for dessert, be sure to take a piece of pie to go!”
“Everything around was closed. They were also close to closing time and they still served me and my boyfriend. The chef/owner even had us try a little something he's cooked up. The food was amazing and the waitress was so nice. I'm so glad we stopped. Thank you again ?”
“Had not been to this Subway for quite a while, but very impressed with the friendly service, very fresh toppings, and cleanliness of this shop! Well done to the staff I will definitely be stopping in more often!!”
