“Visiting NC from PA. Stopped here for dinner tonight. Employees were nice and helpful. Food is very good! Prices are higher than I expected (though still not bad) but portions are huge so it makes sense. My younger daughter and I each got a plate of strips/fries. There's "only" 3 strips but they're huge. We easily could've shared one order. The sweet tea is delicious and they have the BEST ice. We weren't 100% sure if we were supposed to tip. You order at the counter and they deliver your food to your table. We just weren't sure if it was expected like a full service restaurant or not like fast food. This establishment falls somewhere in the middle so we opted to leave a tip. If we had one of these places locally, it would be added to our regular rotation of places we choose when I don't want to cook. I'd recommend it!“

“Chester's Chicken in Mebane is hands down the best chicken I've had in North Carolina! I highly recommend giving it a try. I ordered a 3-piece mix with chicken gizzards, which cost around $13, and I must say it was worth every penny. The chicken was incredibly tender and moist, and the gizzards added a unique flavor that complemented the overall dish perfectly.
What I loved most was that the chicken wasn't too greasy, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience even more pleasant. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give Chester's Chicken a solid 10! Don't miss out on this fantastic spot if you're looking for high-quality and delicious chicken.“

“People are hard on fast food lately, and understandably so. Industry-wide the standards have dropped while costs have skyrocketed.
I had a refreshing break from the aforementioned fast food gloom-and-doom here, where I got a decent meal for $5ish dollars and was greeted with a smile and some personality by the staff. The lobby was pristine, and everything was as it should be.
Fast food isn't dead, it's just hiding.“

“Don't eat at the one in Fayetteville. The location used to be Fabe's and that was great. The locations for Alpaca in Sanford and Raleigh are great, too, but I got food from the one in Fayetteville the other day and was so disappointed. The chicken was not nearly as flavorful as it should have been and the green sauce was like that as well. It was just sad. I suppose I should have guessed based on the two staff members running the counter. They looked and acted like they wanted to be anywhere else.“
