While I generally appreciate this McAlister's Deli in Apex.. I must express my frustration with their handling of Vanilla Visa gift cards. It's peculiar, as I've experienced this issue exclusively at this location. Typically, Vanilla Visa cards are straightforward for full balance payments or clearing remaining amounts. McAlister's Deli offers a variety of delicious food, from giant loaded baked potatoes to chicken salad sandwiches and berry pecan salad. The ingredients are fresh, and the prices are reasonable. The Sweet and Smoky Chicken Sandwich and Mac and Cheese are also recommended. While sometimes the staff may be inattentive and tables not entirely clean, the overall experience is pleasant. Parking is available in a lot for McAlister's and surrounding restaurants, although it can be limited during peak hours. The restaurant provides plenty of vegetarian options that are clearly labeled, and there is a kids menu with typical items for children. Some customers have noticed that portion sizes seem to have gone down, and while the cleanliness may vary, the staff is generally kind and the food is served quickly.
