“I can't say enough good things about Gan Shan. Large portions of great food at a very reasonable price. The staff is always awesome, the outdoor garden is really nice. I just started eating here a couple of months ago and it's become a favorite.“

“On July 6, 2023, my husband and I ate at The Madness on Merrimon Ave for the first time. I ordered sushi and he had a burger. We both had salads and spring rolls. The service and the food was excellent. Nothing to complain about. We look forward to visiting The Madness again.“

“If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I took my husband here for his birthday dinner last night, & we definitely felt like we had a culinary experience! The drinks we spectacular & affordable. We did the chef tasting for dinner, & the staff made it like telling a story through food. Our server Jesse G was so personable, animated, made great recommendations, & very attentive to us the entire meal. Okay, so just about the food. We are total foodies, especially on a vacation/for a special occasion like this. We loved unqiue, tasty foods, & occasionally enjoy a more fine dining experience. Our meal at Ukiah was that & more! It was served in 10 small plate courses. They spaced each dish, timed them perfectly, & each dish built on the last in such a way that was truly amazing. Just when we thought the last one was our favorite, the next one was as good or better. The vanilla, almond, coconut cake with house ice cream finisher almost wrecked me lol! I could have licked the plate clean, but I was honestly too full to commit that hard. Every staff member that brought us a dish, refilled our drinks, cleared our table, etc were so friendly. Jesse (funny enough, also my husband's name & same spelling) was one of the best waiter's we've had, but also the kind of person you just want to be friends with after you eat & go hang out at the bar or something. It is definitely a higher end restaurant, but for the experience & service, it is well worth the money! We hope to return some day for sure!“
“The food was delicious. I had their tropical margarita, it was perfect, not too sweet just strong enough. My partner had their version of a whiskey sour which was yummy and different. We also got their wonton soup which had a bit of a kick but great flavor. The tom Kay soup was spicy and so flavorful. We got an order of their corn fritter things, pineapple fried rice, and pad Thai. Honestly recommend all of those dishes they were great! Rachel was our server and she took great care of us!“

“I believe the owner of YZ Asian Market (attached to Mizu) and his brother also run this Ramen-ya! I've gone to Japan multiple times just to eat ramen there and I also make many different styles of authentic ramen myself from scratch, including the noodles. Ramen is a personal hobby and passion of mine.
So... When I say this place makes good ramen, you can trust my opinion!!
Their broth is authentic. They do it properly by boiling the bones for long amounts of time to break down the collagen which gives it that delicious flavor and renders out all that fat that coats your lips. I had the Tonkotsu, which is made from pork bones. I'm not sure which bones specifically they used, but the balance of it felt like a mixture of mostly femur and knuckle bones with some trotters thrown in for that bit of thickening from the collagen maybe?
All of the additions to the ramen were well prepared. Even the takoyaki was wonderful! Always get the takoyaki.
They make everything from scratch but the noodles. Nobody makes noodles from scratch. It's extremely labor intensive and requires special equipment. Ain't nobody got time for that!
Except me of course, but that's only because you can't get fresh ramen noodles unless you're a ramen shop. I'm also just that crazy about making ramen ;)
This place gets their noodles delivered fresh by truck from Atlanta. Forgot to ask the brand, but they taste like Sun noodles. It's always Sun noodles usually. They supply the majority of ramen shops and will actually create specific noodles for many of the shops based ingredients and hydration ratios supplied to them by those ramen shops.“

“Tucked inside the Moxy hotel 🏨✨, this place feels like a stylish little surprise once you step in. Parking is straightforward with a paid garage nearby 🚗💳, just note the restaurant does not validate. It is a great fit for small to medium groups 👯♀️🍽️, with a decorative interior and elevated views from most seats that instantly change the perspective 🌆👀. The menu leans non traditional and invites a bit of exploration, which we appreciated 😊📖. Craft cocktails shine with creative ingredients and unexpected pairings 🍸🌿 if you’re into that, and there is also a solid spirits list for anyone who prefers familiar pours 🥃👌. Food wise, the stuffed chicken wings were a standout 😍🔥, the lamb shank was fall apart tender but could have used more flavor depth, and the sea bass with bok choy 🥬 was absolutely phenomenal 🌟🐟. A quick heads up that the carrot cake is not your classic version, so go in curious 🍰🤔. The glassware is beautiful ✨🍸 and art installations throughout add visual interest at every turn 🎨📸. Raea was a lovely server who made thoughtful recommendations and stayed attentive, with great support from Yessenia and Ryan as well 🙌😊. We really enjoyed the overall vibe, the views, and the experience, and it felt like a refreshing break from eye level living 😌🌃. Definitely check it out, I’d recommend it 👍✨.“

“We went to Miyako for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and we are going again tonight. This restaurant is a gem in downtown Asheville. The aroma lured us in, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The kitchen appears clean and well-org - and the service was delightful!“

“This is my favorite restaurant by far. Don’t let it being in a mall food court fool you, the fried rice is perfect, the meat is perfect, and one $14 order can easily be split into two meals. The customer service is also phenomenal. Even if I’m having a horrible day, the woman who usually works the front always makes me smile.“

“I only had a quick takeout lunch, but I was definitely pleased by the Pineapple Thai Curry and its obviously high quality ingredients, skillful preparation, and the restaurant's demonstrated ability to adjust spice level to my request. I can already tell they listen to their customers, and they care about the customer experience and of building relationships. This is what hospitality in the mountains can be like when the mind is set to create a positive experience, and the work is put in to bring it to fruition. It's not handed out on a platter willy nilly. It takes talented professionals working diligently in order to pull it off. A few restaurants just get it and blaze their own trail ahead, and Chen Garden is one of those that deserves recognition for what they are building.
Edit: The Pad Thai is also unsurprisingly excellent as is their most delicious Thai Iced Tea!“
