I was charged $3 for enough curtido for our pupusas. Plus they gave us hot sauce without asking then charged us $2 for a little mild salsa.

Usually the pupusas are delicious, juicy and made how they are suppose to be but last time I ordered 5 of them and went to pick them up I noticed 3 things. And I noticed after I already drove away.
1. There was no queso in any of the pupusas altho I ordered 2 Ruveltas, 2 bean and cheese and 1 pork and cheese.
2. They were burnt and barely any meat
3. I was charged $17.50 altho when I added it up it should have been $8.75
I was disappointed because usually they always do a good job with the flavor but the dishonesty on top of the mess up discourages me to come back. Makes it feel more personal.

The service leaves a lot to be desired. I had to wait outside while my food was made and took it to go because the lady behind the counter was blasting her speakerphone while there was also a tv playing throughout the restaurant. I can’t wrap my head around how anyone thinks it’s okay to do that with customers sitting in the restaurant.
The food was expensive

Authentic and the plantains are always incredible. The Yuca is the best I've had in WNC.

Everything was great. Nice service. Clean atmosphere. Okay prices. But one of the only places around to get a nice genuine homemade pupusas. The rice is to die for too. The high sause is kinda mild side, "more Spicer than not. It's not my first time and is definitely not going to be my last

First time eating at this wonderful little El Salvidorian restaurant.
The staff was wonderful! Jenny was so great about explaining to me all the various dishes and helped me clean up when when I dropped my phone in the créma and made a huge mess.
The food was made fresh, came out fast and was amazing!
Upon request, they added more Loroco Flower to the Papusas I ordered as I had never tried this vegetable before and wanted to get a good taste of it.
My experience was amazing from the moment I stepped in the door until I left with a full belly, ready for a nap and halfway into a food coma.
This place is definitely on my list for a weekly stop in for lunch! The dishes in the photos are:
1. Loroco & Cheese Pupusa
2. Pork Tamale
3. Pastelitos Salvadoreños
4. Yucatan Frita
All served with Curtido, various salsas and créma and presented nicely on 2 plates for me both of which were licked clean at the end.
I had a fresh, homemade and refreshing tropical fruit drink as my beverage. I cannot speak highly enough about this place and can't wait to check out all their menus items!
Come check them out if you're within an hour of West Asheville and want dome delicious food! It's honestly worth any drive.
Thanks again Jenny! This experience made my day!
Parking: Look for the Volcano Emblem. They don't have a big sign out front. Good amount of parking.

I don't live in this area, but today I tried the food here and it is very good, the meat was all very well seasoned, and the people who served me were very kind to me, it would definitely be worth driving as many times as possible to try each of their dishes!!

The best pupusas 🫶🏻
So far been to this place twice and both times really enjoyed the food. Great flavors all around.
The food was delicious, the service was terrible, the service was horrible, the experience was horrible, they didn't want to sell a coffee to my aunt and the service was horrible, and as the eye-catching waitress or whoever told us, it was horrible, horrible, the food had nothing to do with the service. that place but never ever go again 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Been going here for years for their pupusas, and will continue going everytime i return to town. Food is always fresh and hot, and employees are very kind. I love all of the plants inside.
