Appetizers and entrées were excellent. They were also very reasonably priced for the quality of food which we received.

Overall, we had a good experience. It was wonderful to sit down and have a relaxing meal between the special exhibit and a tour of the Biltmore House.

The restaurant is a very nice experience, but experience is what you're paying for. The food was very over priced. You can get some of the exact same dishes at stable cafe for a fraction of the price. The server was great, the experience was nice. But food is very very expensive for what you get.

It was drafty where we sat, I only had 3 scallops in my dinner pretty scanty for the price of the meal. It was a bit noisy, but not too bad.

We had the ribeye and the butternut squash risotto. Both were excellent! Our server, Bobby, was also excellent!

Our food was prepared perfectly and was very tasty. Our server, Natalie was very attentive and friendly. It was a great dining experience.

Have dined here many times. The food and service are always top notch. We came this time for our anniversary and they made it special.

OpenTable worked as well as can be expected. Even remembered a food allergy from passed reservations.

Just not like it used to be. Our server Bobby was excellent as always and was the saving grace. Drinks were excellent. Food was definitely not what you would expect from The Bistro and definitely not like it has been in the past. Dessert menu was awful and was nowhere near what it should be, nor matched what is shown online. Whatever you do, do not get the Sweet Corn Mousse. It tastes like a very softened stick of butter but not as dense. The blackberries tasted fermented. Standards are nowhere near what they have been. Sad and hopefully will not remain this way.

Leigh our server was outstanding in delivering a memorable experience on our anniversary. She went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible dinner. My wife's trout and my scallops were delicious. I actually hesitated on the scallops due to its side dish which was succotash. I didn't have fond memories of that dish when I was a kid... (lima beans) but Leigh reassured me that this was delicious. Could the side dish steal the show of the scallops? In this case it indeed did. I loved it so much I asked Leigh how they made. She actually gave me an email and the chef would send me the recipe! That my friends is service! In fact I regret booking the Dining Room at the Inn the next night and wished we had returned to the Bistro. Bravo Bistro!!

Opentable Diner

This was our 3rd trip to The Bistro and it has been wonderful each time. Ron was our server this visit and his service was remarkable. He showed full respect of not disturbing us when we were in midst of conversation. Do try the French Onion Soup. We never go there without ordering it. Also ask for bread if you'd like some. It was fresh made with herbs and was wonderful. Everything was top of the line, fresh, and perfectly prepared. There was an appetizer we tried on our second visit that wasn't very impressive but it appears to have been removed from the menu.

Server Natalie was awesome! Very relaxed dining pace. Sound level was a little too loud making conversation difficult and we were only a table of two. Maybe consider sound reducing measures

We've eaten here more than once and will go back again. While it's been an overall positive experience, there are a couple of things that are holding it back from the 5 star rating they seem to really want to offer. They do strive to exemplify a high level of hospitality. PROS: We ordered from each course. We started with wine - this is a winery so I don't know if that should make the wines cheaper - no shipping right? - or should they cost more than your average nice restaurant for some reason? Very pricey wine but it is very good. The soup was butternut squash - a perfect offering for fall so they're right on time with this choice. It was AMAZING. Next, an estate-grown mixed greens salad with roasted hazelnuts- fresh, light and delicious to the last bite. The entree was better than ok but we were less than wowed - I listed it under the CONS below. Dessert was a passion fruit cake which was really several layers of chocolate - beautiful presentation and sinfully delightful. Cappuccino- I was happy they offer it with decaf but it was very, very short. It was nice to be able to get one but it could've been bigger than 1/3 cup of liquid and 3/4 cup of froth. CONS: The value is fair - the prices are not as high as many restaurants of the same ambience. But they manage to keep the prices down by offering sub par steak cuts. This is the trade off. We ordered a special meal - surf and turf. The ribeye was a 1” thin cut that was less than impressive but was tasty and decent for what it was. The lobster tail was not horrible but again nothing to get excited about. So overall, we had a very decent meal in a beautiful setting with great wine. The service was very good - our waiter caught on that we intended to share everything and after the soup course had all the courses split in half for us. He was gracious and efficient.

Exceptional experience, great service and timing, initially a bit annoyed that my 6:00 reservation didn't allow us to sit until until 6:15, but after that they didn't skip a beat.

Overpriced and under-seasoned. The focacia bread was very bland. And although the lamb shank was huge and the risotto tasty, the lamb needed either more sauce on the plate or a side of mint sauce. It was way overpriced at $64. The restaurant did not have mint sauce available which I find unexcuseable when serving lamb shank. Cedric's Tavern, also located in the Village was much better.
