Seriously delicious eats. I got the pulled pork and sausage plate which which was a great choice. Pulled pork was flavorful and the sausage was perfection. Their collard greens were incredible. I order collard greens every now at BBQ joints hoping that I will finally find some I really like, and it finally happened here. They were SO good! Their gold BBQ mustard sauce was top notch as well.

I'm honored that I was able to get by Buxton Hall before they permanently close the doors. They have a modified menu from now till close.Staff were nice and full of smiles. The pimento cheese plate was so good. Main dish was pulled pork, BBQ hash over rice and smoked sausage. The sides were collard greens and baked beans. The food was perfect and seasoned just right.I snagged a few ribs to go and took a bite while on the road. Let me tell you m, these ribs were fantastic. I also took home leftovers and ate them for breakfast the next day with a side of scrambled eggs.Sad this place is closing and I hope to get by there one more time.

Best pulled pork I've ever had in my life. The brisket was incredible too. All the sides were delicious and we came back a second time during our short stay in the area. I was sad to hear that this place is closing, but it was a great experience nonetheless.

In a historic building, formerly a roller rink in the 1930 this building itself holds so much character. The staff were friendly and free refills on the iced tea. The food came out hot and heaping amounts. The pulled pork sandwich came without sauce on it, go up to the sauce bar and pill up little cups to try their variety of homemade sauces. The pulled pork was tender, moist and flavorful. You could taste the mustard in the crisp coleslaw. The mac and cheese was also very good, I was mixing in some BBQ sauce and pork into it.

Dinner here was pretty good! If you are looking for hole-in-the-wall NC BBQ, this is probably not it. Very trendy and cute restaurant, but not the best BBQ we’ve ever had.Pulled pork was pretty good, but didn’t have as much flavor as we would have liked! The sauce bar is nice as you get to try different sauces to sample, and the Mac & Cheese is awesome!Overall, not a bad pick, and food is decent!

This place is amazing. First time I've been and will definely go back. You can actually see the kitchen from the dining room and they have a butchered hog for smoking on the table. The Mac and cheese is some of the best I've ever had. Service was good. Not too pricey for what you get. Highly recommend.

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Buxton Hall with my family and friends. The food not only met but also exceeded our expectations. What truly set this experience apart was the outstanding hospitality from the Manager Sarah and the entire staff. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure an amazing dining experience. This has solidified Buxton Hall as one of my top restaurant choices in Asheville.

Great food. The corn pudding is delicious and the bbq is flavorful. Will definitely return. The poutine is amazing, so are the smoked wings.

What a disappointment. Youtube videos and Google reviews laud this place but our pulled pork was tasteless (and it is supposed to be a specialty of Carolina barbecue). You had to add the vinegar or red sauce, then you tasted the sauce on the texture of the meat. Crispy Brussels Sprouts and a Mac n' Cheese were acceptable but nothing to write home about. The local beer selection deserves praise.Service was slow and perfunctory. No effort to welcome guests and there appeared to be a lack of front-of-house leadership. Overall, Buxton Hall seems to be resting on its laurels. Not recommended.

We can’t wait to go back. This spot came highly recommended and absolutely lived up to expectations! We enjoyed the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Collards, the Brisket Burger with waffle fries and Banana Pudding Pie.We arrived very hungry at 2:30pm and our server Tim helped make us welcome and to inform our choices. The fried chicken sandwich probably topped our charts with its giant, hot crispy patty. The pimento cheese melting into the burger patty made that a close second. The vibe was so charming, with fantastic signage, fresh flowers on each table, and friendly service all around.

One of the few bright spots on our trip to Asheville was eating at Buxton Hall Barbecue. The fried catfish and the baked beans were simply mind blowing. And the restaurant’s open layout invites a ton of natural light inside making the whole place feel very airy and lively. More restaurants should do this. Why then only 4 stars ? We’ll, my wife’s Brussels sprouts were burnt on arrival. As for closing comments, a small part of me wants to drive to Asheville (from Atlanta) just to eat here because the food is so good.

To say this place is outstanding is an understatement. As you can see I went with the Brisket Cheesesteak and it might have been the best thing I've ever eaten. I coupled that with the Mac & Hash, which was also outstanding. The overall atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful too. Would I go there again....yes. Should you go there....yes.

So glad we decided to stop by! The food was incredible. I ordered ribs from their specials menu and they fell right off the bone. Their bbq sauce was the perfect flavor and I highly highly recommend the Mac n cheese as a side dish. On top of the amazing food was the amazing service. Great place to go on a date or to come as a family. Loved it!
