Stuck here in Asheville with a broken down vehicle. Completely unexpected, this bar has let us hang out for multiple hours, even though we don’t smell great, aren’t showered, and have our young dog with us (she is might behaved though). The bartender offered us a drink for our troubles since we were sincere. Couldn’t have spent multiple hours here in this town on the current budget I’m on, but they made it work, even though our asks weren’t necessary they still helped up our…thank you Catawba Berwery! We will tell your story and how thankful we are for yall! Aaron and Sierra out of Clayton, NC

Came up to see the Friday night comedy show with Cy Amundson. Was there for both shows, and they were great. All the comics were great, and the atmosphere was awesome. Very inviting. Smaller space around 50 or so each show.Cy killed it in my book and got to meet him after the show. Modelface Comedy put on a great show. Joe Zimmerman even dropped in as a special guest. Not on the bill, so that was cool. If you like stand-up comedy, please check out Modelface's website. I'm am, however, solber and can't tell you about the beer. Sorry. Parking is right across the street.Very convenient. Love this place, and I will be coming back!

Great beer!

Great brewery with several beer options, nice atmosphere, and plenty of seating. They're dog friendly and even gave our pooch a treat. We liked every beer we tried!

This place is super chill. I was there on a Saturday night and it wasn't super busy which was a relief because there were a lot of us and everywhere else we'd been had been insanely loud. There was a very nice selection of beer and the bartender, not sure of his name, was super super friendly. There was a live band playing when we got there, kind of like a funk style band. Very cool The patio was nice as well. There was plenty of seating and much easier to converse with your party. I ordered the lime something lager. I can't remember the exact name. It was very crisp and refreshing. Would definitely go back.

Great beer with indoor and outdoor seating. Good entertainment most weekend nights. Sometimes a food truck will be outside. Snacks only inside.

catawba is not even a North Carolina locally owned business anymore. closed their charlotte tap room without any waning to their employees the only good reason to go there was the decent food truck that used to be there but it's not there now and the parking situation makes me regret trying to get a beer there just not worth the trouble. there are better beers to drink with free parking and no risk of having your car towed.

Great beer, loved your White Zombie! Instead of growler fills they sell 32oz cans made in-shop.

Catawba brewing abruptly closed their doors in Charlotte and Morgonton, w/o properly informing their employees or paying their rent. The beer is not even locally owned anymore. Current employees be warned, jump ship before they sink the boat.

Terrible Bartender! I took my wife and daughter and our two dogs. The bartender had a sour disposition and could hardly be bothered when we were ordering our drinks. It claims to be “dog friendly” but he came over to us when our food arrived from Buxton BBQ next door (which was delicious, btw) and asked us to move to the back because one of our dogs was making too much noise. He was not barking or cutting up, he made some whining noises but not very loud. The place was virtually empty, but several sets guests came in while we were there and stopped to pet and even compliment our dogs, including how well behaved they were! When he asked us to move to the back, we picked up our food and promptly left. What could have been a very nice and enjoyable afternoon did not turn out that way. We won’t be returning there and I can not recommend you go to this bar.

We enjoyed this brewery and it's open air environment so much on our tour with BREW-ED Tours today! We had three samplers today and loved hearing the history!
