Saisons of the celestials, porters fit for a prince, and ales worthy of alliteration as well

Cellarest has an excellent selection of german style beers, many of which come in a delightful half liter mug. The staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The space is warm and welcoming and full of lovely plants! and there is pup friendly outdoor seating as well.

I love a good dark beer and this place had one that was dark and really smooth, lacking that awful bitterness that some dark beers get. It’s so cozy inside! I love being there. Lots of plants. It almost has a cafe vibe! I would bring my dad there as well as a friend or a date, lol! The staff indeed is exceptional. They know their beers and are so incredibly warm and welcoming. These folks have a great thing going.

Cellarest was a fun little place. It's tiny, but they had outdoor seating and a food truck on-site. The gal serving up the brew was awesome, fun, and friendly. She knew all about her brews and was engaging. I didn't fall in love with the brews we tried, but they were all tasty and fresh. In a town with as many breweries as Asheville it's hard not to find a bunch of repeats with different names. That wasn't the case on our visit here.

Great lagers. It’s nice to find a draft list that isn’t loaded with hazy IPAs. Their beers remind me a lot of Halfway Crooks in Atlanta, making seemingly boring styles that taste great. The service was also exceptional.

We had a group of 5 and everything we had was great. Very impressed with the lagers too!

The vibrant beer scene of Asheville is home to a lot of large, well-established breweries, making it a tight squeeze for any new kids on the block. It takes an exceptional brewery, like Cellarest Beer Project, to make their own space in this crowded market. The brainchild, founder and head brewer, Mark Goodwin began in the craft beer lifestyle in Portland, Oregon, where he honed his skills and passion for brewing. His path eventually led him to Asheville, where he embarked on a mission to create something truly exceptional – the Cellarest Beer Project. At Cellarest, the focus is on barrel-rested beers, each one akin to a fleeting moment in time. The philosophy is simple but profound: once the beer is gone, it's gone forever. This dedication to crafting unique and ephemeral brews sets Cellarest apart in Asheville's dynamic craft beer landscape. The most standout creation we had at Cellarest is the "Shibui" Pilsner, a testament to their commitment to depth and craftsmanship. This beer begins with a base of Chesapeake pilsner and chit malt from Riverbend Malt House. The brew is lightly hopped with Styrian Celeia, imparting a delicate yet alluring aroma and flavor profile. Shibui then rests cold in oak puncheons for several weeks before being savored moment by moment in your glass.@Beerventurers

Great atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs welcome. Beer is great! No food sold here except snacks but can bring food here with you.

This place is such a fabulous neighborhood brewery. If you want to have a uniquely exquisite beer experience (all of their beers are aged in wood) in the heart of a hip, cool, neighborhood you should check The Cellarest out. They are the epitome of what Beer City USA is all about. I will be coming here for years to come. ?

The Brigid on tap was AMAZING. Nice rich flavor. I have never jumped on the IPA train and there were a lot of non-IPA options. The vibe is very casual, clean and cozy. The bartender, Rob, was friendly and professional and helped me choose what to try and I am very happy with my choices. Definitely a place I want to come back to with friends!

Cool space. Love the plants and barrels! The golden wild ale was fantastic! The sour lager was good. The India farm ale was honestly bad, disappointing. In general, a bit overpriced. Service was quick but not informative or personalized to discussing clients beer preferences. Would be beneficial to offer a small sample to clients if "on the fence" before ordering a $10 beer.

Ok, I didn't get it. It was ok but it was the least favorite of all the breweries we tried in Ashville. Maybe it was an off night or maybe my expectations were too high. Whatever it was, it didn't do anything for me. Beer was good but not great. Atmosphere was kinda cool but we visited so many better places on our trip.
