I had the pleasure of visiting the distillery and throughly enjoyed the tasting. Ariana was very knowledgeable and made us feel like long time friends. Left with a few bottles and some bar stuff. The Founders Reserve is particularly good. Looking forward to our next visit.

It's an interesting experience but sometimes the employees can seem rushed & hurried & can appear on the rude side. One employee hinted strongly she "was there to make tips". We were put off but in general like going there when we are in Asheville

Enjoyed our tasting experience - it’s pretty informal and free (choice of 4) so between my wife and I, we got to try them all. The spirits feel carefully made - which I see as mostly a good thing. All of the things we tried were remarkably smooth - and I think anyone with any pallet could handle the line without any fear. We like liquor with more pop to it - the navy strength gin fit the bill and we grabbed a bottle of that to go. I really enjoyed the barrel rested gin too - a very unique tasting gin that has been on my mind for two days… I should have grabbed that too.The shop is really really small so more than 4 people in there is a crowd but they have some cool stuff and we will definitely be back the next time we visit. Thanks for taking care of us.

The cutest place and vibes. Drinks and customer service were both amazing! Favorite new spot in Asheville

As many reviews before, have stated the ambience in this location is absolutely incredible. You truly feel like you've been taken back to the prohibition era and are in an upscale speakeasy. While we visited, I opted to do their gin flight which I love that they offer. That way you can try several of the different ones, and then, if you want a cocktail afterwards, you can enjoy. My husband opted for an old fashion, which was perfect for him, and again, just the ambience coupled with the vintageness of an old fashion, provided for a great experience. The gin flight was great, and I especially loved the barrel, rested and the chocolate orange. The Navy strength gin is very sharp on the pallet and has a little bite in the back. The bar area itself is known as antidote, and then the Chemist is essentially where they distill all of the gin and where are you can buy a bottle as well as other merchandise to take home with you

Stopped here while visiting Asheville to pick up a gift for my father who likes gin. I know nothing about gin, but Makayla (I hope I remembered her name correctly) was incredibly kind and knowledgeable and helped me pick out a great gift. She even wrapped the bottles beautifully with tissue paper, twine, and a sticker, and she put them in a branded bag. I am so thrilled with her suggestion and her work.

A small specialty spirit shop with a few unique flavors. The pecan cream is exceptionally sweet and the navy strength is exactly that. Expensive and gift-worthy.

This is a cozy spot with great craft cocktails. I got the American Gin and Tonic and it was excellent and also unique. It's a pricey bar, but I found it to be worth it since I couldn't get the same thing somewhere else. There was both indoor and outdoor seating.

Proceed with caution! The place is lovely, the employees knowledgeable, the gin superb. (And the cocktail bar next door looks incredible.) BUT! I bought a bottle of this lovely gin to take home - my wife and I were scoping out Asheville as a potential retirement location (it’s the front runner) - and the bottle tipped onto its side in my trunk. Nearly all of the gin leaked out. As you can see, the seal is not broken, but the gin is almost entirely gone. So! Everything seems great…except the tape.

Great little shop. Delightful young lady, who knew about gin, walked us through all the available samples distilled at this woman owned establishment. We left, having purchased a cream liquor, and a recommendation for dinner!

Just had a tasting at this fun, unique boutique. The chemist who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and friendly. She clearly enjoyed her work and interacting with customers. The gin tastings were all wonderful and it was hard to pick!

The AMBIANCE is everything here. Be prepared to take a trip in a Time Machine.Upon entering the Chemist I was transported to a time well before I was born when apothecaries were common facilities to treat all of your ailments. Such time and effort was put into making the Chemist a wonderful flashback in history. My mocktail was wonderful too. This is more of an adult stop, but I consider it a must stop. Even if you do not want a drink, stop, grab a snack, and appreciate the effort that went into creating this masterpiece.

We loved the style, vibe and atmosphere. The woman's bathroom has so many great touches. The gin is good - the drinks ok. But they took a long time to make them when it was not too busy.

Hands down my favorite gin distilling company ever. It’s a women owned Mom and Daughter distillery. They do local collars with the Biltmore, wicked weed and so many more. I love everything this company represents. They make specialty gin, whiskey, vodka and a liquor. I think this gin is a must try for all gin lovers. You won’t regret it. You can also stop in to do a tasting which I recommend to all!
