After 2 hours of money spent on numerous cocktails, we were informed that a party of 35+ needed a reservation . Sadly, our group of 17 in one space somehow exceeded that requirement. For a family that is so well traveled, and in a town of Soooo many watering holes, one would think an establishment would appreciate a very discerning clientele happy to go down 2 flights of stairs to get their own drinks. Antidote Cocktail Lounge at Chemist is a gem. The place is amazing from top to bottom, with incredible drinks and food. The Navy gin and tonic is a go-to, but the Pink Panther is also ridiculous, and the Affogato is spectacular. The deviled eggs are spectacular. The cocktails are excellent, delicious, and inspired, with a real cocktail bar feel where everything is made in view like a live bartending show. The charcuterie board is excellent. The Fernet daiquiri, Sazerac, and Black Manhattan are all very good. The atmosphere is amazing, with a great spot to talk by the fire outside or inside. Guests are encouraged to explore the upper levels and rooftop. The staff are wonderful, welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. The owners and bartenders respond with an unbelievable amount of kindness, grace, and hospitality. They are charismatic, passionate, and professional, answering all questions and giving great recommendations. The hospitality is incredibly rare, making for an unforgettable experience.
