Fantastic meal last night at Jargon! The ginger carrot 🥕 soup was incredible. We paired it with Asparagus and risotto. The strawberry dessert was amazing and the after dinner drinks with espresso beans were perfection.

Nice place, and if you like chef-driven food and don't mind paying for it, please check it out. It's a comfortable setting and dog-friendly on the heated patio.

Took Wife here on a getaway… small quaint eclectic restaurant that utilizes old game boards for menu holders, old bowling alley lanes for table tops, and printing press items for unification of the old and new…

Service was impeccable ( Eddie) staff was helpful, food was Grand… no room for dessert…

Maybe next time Asheville..

We had an incredible dining experience at Jargon! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. It definitely was the best birthday dinner! Highly recommend!

The service and food was great. The only only thing I didn't like was the charge for bread but will definitely be back.

We dined here about a year ago and had a great meal. However, we returned and had a very different experience. I had the chicken dish which was slightly overcooked and almost completely without taste. I ordered a pastry item for dessert which was not much better than a similar frozen item I've had from Trader Joe's. Things seem to have gone downhill.

Gorgeous atmosphere, great service. Meal was disappointing. The "smashed" crispy fingerling potatoes were neither smashed nor crispy, just roasted potatoes sitting in fondue. The whole roasted trout was well cooked but completely unseasoned. It was just a whole roasted, unsalted, completely unseasoned fish. I was looking forward to Jargon. Might give them a second chance.

Hadn’t been to Jargon in years, but saw the new menu and decided to come in with my wife. We definitely miss the old menu, but the drinks were great. Service was amazing as always.

Squash hummus, squash mole, delicata squash, so much squash…
Was hoping for something to stand out from other Asheville menus
Desserts were a miss

I had the best meal of my life here about 5 years ago. Not only best meal, but best cocktails and best dessert too. Truly. I've been a lot of places in my life and this one topped them all. I live in Oklahoma now, but in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, my thoughts went back to Jargon and the staff. This place is a gem and I sincerely hope they are able to re-open even stronger at some point.

I thoroughly enjoyed their mocktails. Our dishes were divine, though I wish I had gotten a different dessert. Atmosphere was cozy and grounding. Lovely experience!

Service and atmosphere were excellent, the food was disappointing. The pigs ears and crispy potatoes (while not crispy) were good. The trout was dry and the mushrooms were very acidic.

A great night out
The bartender was awesome and we ordered my favorite bottle of wine
We both loved our dinners
Didn’t care for the pigs ear appetizer.. all we could taste was the frying and so much sauce
We will return
