“I've been told about this place by many locals and I have to say... They were not wrong about the quality of product being presented, I had lunch with my food rep and he mentioned that this was his favorite kind of barbeque as well. (Texas/Kansas mix I believe) I had some burnt ends too which I somehow didn't get a picture of apparently, the customer service was as great as it gets, they were very knowledgeable and had a strong sense of pride backing their work/product. I will definitely be back! I'll review the brewery Attached later on, the brew-flight I had after my meal was phenomenal.“
“Great pulled pork and sides. I haven't had anything bad on the menu. BBQ pork is not fatty or greasy. Great tasting sauce.Very clean and organized establishment. Friendly staff. Little pricier choice for fast on the go foods but top quality product. I eat here every time I can.“
“We like this place! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they have a nice selection of beer. The patio is also super nice and we love how dog friendly they are! Dogs are even allowed in their taproom, just not the main restaurant. My one complaint is the food here can be a little dry. My go to are the ribs, and I’m usually reallyyy glad they’re sauced. They have good flavor, but they’re just kind of tough.“
“I had a lunch meeting with some friends and I have always frequented the original location on the river. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much easier the flow is at this location. Honestly, it is way better than the location the is in the River Arts District. They certainly get the food out much faster and the quality seems to be a bit higher.To be perfectly honest and fair, I have to say that I have been eating at 12 Bones since it was under original ownership and with all the original recipes, so I’m a bit critical of the Asheville location. This one feels much more in line with the service of the original.All of the barbecue and the sauces are the same as the original, it is the sides that have varied from the original recipes.“
“Bear’s bbq of Asheville catered my wedding this weekend in Boone, NC and they were amazing!!! My husband & I had ate here on a trip to asheville once and we were hooked. The food for our wedding was so great & the staff was incredibly friendly and easy to work with! I didnt even have the chance to worry about food clean up by the time the wedding was over because they were so quick! The tables were quickly bussed & leftovers put away for us to take home! We overestimated the amount of food we needed for our guest count, but I’m glad we did because I had guest going back for 2nds & 3rds! Even the leftovers taste amazing.
