The Funkatorium is helping the community by hosting hot meals during this unprecedented natural disaster.

Molly truly made our visit great! Turns out we were visiting from the same area she was from and had a ton in common. Both being in the foodservice industry, she really made us feel welcome and gave great suggestions and conversation!

Friendly enough service but more of a sit down restaurant than a brewery. Good selection of beers, and their sours are quite good. But the food is truly atrocious. We were looking for bar bites and while they have a full menu— think full sandwiches and burgers as opposed to shareable apps, Whatever you do don’t order their “Korean Corn Dogs”. Truly the most disgusting thing I’ve eaten in a long time. Chunks of overcooked sausage mixed with a thiccccck batter, fried to death with panko, potatoes, or ramen noodles sprinkled on top. I suppose they chop up the sausage so they don’t need to put as much meat in? Half of what would normally be the sausage was just melted cheese. Flavorless, chewy in a rubbery way, and just gross. For $18.

The tap room itself is a very nice space. However I went there on a Tuesday evening and the bar staff did not engage with any patrons as I could tell, they just stood around the unoccupied section of the bar and talked, never even asked if I wanted another...

Great beers and even better food. My wife got the vegan burrito (with fries in it?!) and I got the Tofu Banh Mi.... The burrito was so good we ordered another one! Excellent dog friendly patio with plenty of shade & water bowls too.

Great place if you love sour beers. Turnz out, I don't. To me, they all taste the same after the first 5oz pour. This place is too large to function well, we had some long wait times for service

Absolutely loved this spot! Great beer selection and very friendly staff. We had an excellent time!

The Khatta Masala beer was out of this world. For anyone with an Indian palette, it tasted like mango pickle - absolutely unreal. Loved it to the moon and back. I wish we could have shipped some back home.

Got two beer flights - Roulette and Barrel Aged Sour Beers. Both were great.

Highly recommend to anyone who likes sour beers!

I’ve been to Asheville several times. Each time was on weekends and the lines at local breweries can be extremely long. With that said, we’ve missed a few breweries that were on our list. Funkatorium is one that I’ve wanted to try. Finally came to Asheville for an overnight on a Tuesday and able to give it a try. Love this place! The beers are amazing and service spot on. Can’t wait to come back with my wife and try again.

Beer AND the food was great, would come back again.

I think the Angle of Death was the best sour.
Burrito was mind blowing awesome. Would definitely order that again. Excellent flavor, good portion, great with elotes.

You must order a side of elotes. The corn was the freshest corn I’ve had since Indiana, and the spice mix was incredible, it might be the best elotes I have had thus far….

Burger looks amazing, humongous slice of pineapple in it.

Vermicelli noodles were good, decent portion for a healthy dish. Was a little sad the tofu wasn’t pan seared or anything.

Cucumber salad was ok, but probably wouldn’t order again.

Overall excellent experience, would love to come back.

Decent enough. My expectations were too high. Built it up too high in my mind.good beers. A few of the sours taste the same. A Couple were very good. Burger was very good as well as the Vietnamese salad. Poutine frys were a let down. The gravy was a very thin broth.

Beer is terrible. It most closely compares to when your friend buys a home brewing kit and asks you to try his first few attempts.

Service was also lacking. It feels like if you aren’t local they don’t want you here.

Their theme should be “over the lips and part the gums. Look out stomach here it comes!”

I came with my family and didn't really feel our of place. A good, fun restaurant with a decently hip environment. I ordered the Vietnamese noodle bowl, which is a vegan dish. I'm not a vegan and I thought the food was outstanding. Good beer selection and the service was pretty solid. Highly recommend for a place to take friends and hangout.

My friend always says a place can’t do 2 things well. This is a good example. Wicked weed distributes decent beer, but the taprooms have some mildly interesting brews that fall flat. The food is also mid. Not sure why we always find ourselves here when in town lol
