We had apps and drinks and they were good. Falafel special was very good as were the peaches wrapped in ham. Tuna crudo was lacking flavor. Our server was very distracted and not helpful. Forgot my husbands second glass of wine. Said he was comping the falafel as he had forgotten to tell us about it and then charged us for it. Overall not what we were expecting from a James Beard nominee chef
Heard a lot of good things about this place and it was unfortunately just “ok”. Mushroom ravioli was delicious and would order it over and over. Cocktails were fine and while the ham/ peach app had good flavor, peaches were mushy so weird texture against the ham. Maybe peaches were too ripe? But the thing that got me was the vibe... Or lack of vibe. This restaurant is quite dated and in my opinion geared toward the 4:30 crowd from the 90's, which was quite unfortunate....
Drinks were good. Blue cheese starter was excellent. Service was great. My wife had the Pork Coppa steak and the flavor was great but a significant portion of it was very dry. I had the bistro steak...cooked perfectly at medium rare but I think it may have sat a bit before being delivered as it felt like it had cooled too much. Overall it's a nice restaurant and there's a lot to like but we expected a bit more from the meals.
