I'm devastated to hear that the Mothlight is closing down for good. This was a really great and intimate venue, especially for metal. Saw and met some really cool bands here. I wish someone could have bought this place to keep it open and running after the pandemic ends, but I guess no one is willing to take on that risk during these uncertain times. Hopefully sometime later down the road a new bar or nightclub will move into this space where local bands and larger regional/national acts can play. Really sad to see this place go.

Amazing music venue. They consistently book quality bands, and their staff is very friendly and courteous. Regardless of who is playing, the sound is excellent, and the venue itself is very clean and well-maintained.

Best place to grab a drink on Haywood, even if there’s no shows going on. I love the HEX parties and the TMNT arcade game. Can’t beat the 5$ shot and beer either.

This is one of my favorite venues in Asheville. I’ve seen some of my favorite shows here such as the Wham Bam Puppet Slam, a Bit Brigade concert, and a Russian Circles concert. I’ve seen a lot of shows throughout the years and at various venues on the east coast, but have had some of the fondest show-going memories here.
I've seen Screaming Females with Dusk and Control Top, and Diet Cig with Radiator Hospital and Spook School. I love this venue. Big, wide open space, easy to get front row -even if you come in late. Great sound, great staff, definitely recommend.

This place is amazing. We loved the Amigo the Devil show. Ray at the door was so helpful when we had an issue with our tickets. He worked it out for us! We loved the performance and the venue. Top Shelf!
