“We visited this place yesterday after seeing other positive reviews and were not disappointed. Upon arrival, we considered leaving because there were no parking spaces in the front. But after driving around a little more, we realized they had plenty of parking behind the restaurant.

When we entered the door we were disappointed to find about 20 people waiting. Some were sitting and standing in a little lobby area at the door and others were in a line along the wall leading up to a greeting booth. We got in line and were pleased to see that it moved quicker than we anticipated. The only negative thing we experienced was that we didn't see any signage and no one told us their process for getting seated. We noticed people passing us to get seated and figured that one of their party members was in line holding a spot for the group's. However, when we got to the front of the line, the hostess asked us what number we had. We told her we didn't have a number so she handed us one and said it shouldn't be too long. A gentleman behind us experienced the same thing. He had been waiting in line behind us. When two other men walked pass and the hostess questioned them concerned their desires and told one of them to go on in to the bar area, I heard the man question how they were able to get served before him. I informed him that he needed to get a number. He was obviously upset, but took it like a champ and didn't complain.

Once we were seated, we were greeted almost immediately for our drink orders. She was very attentive to us, got our food to us in a timely manner, and the food was very good. We will return to this place when we're back in town.

The staff members are very efficient here and I've never seen anything like it before. I don't know if someone is watching the cameras and directing the staff or what, but I observed that once a person was seated, most were greated within a minute. Then once they got up from their table, staff was clearing their table within a minute. It was as if the staff was watching around the corner just waiting for someone to get up.

But one of the things that which impressed me the most was the customers care I witnessed from a man who appeared to be a manager or owner. A waitress accidentally spilled a drink and it splashed up on a young boy. I couldn't make out what the manager said, but almost immediately someone came to help the waitress clean up the mess and he showed concern for the boy's health. They gave him some napkins to clean himself and after a while, the manager returned to check on him again. This time he joked with the boy and asked him if he was paying the bill for his family. The boy replied no because he didn't have any money. The manager said you can afford this bill because it's free!“

“Went to the roof top bar last night for dinner and drinks. Atmosphere was so relaxing and nice cool breeze ad well as views of the beach. The dinner was delicious and I highly recommend the garlic cheese curds. Ken our bar tender made us amazing tasting drinks, any drink we asked him to make he knew how and they tasted great. If your out about in Atlantic beach I highly recommend you stop and check it out, you won't be sorry.“

“This place hands down had the best fish tacos in the area. It was such a chill spot and an absolutely gem of a spot if you have kiddos. The Buffalo shrimp were to die for and no joke … the ranch really was life changing! Thanks for serving such amazing food with a family friendly atmosphere.“

“My husband and I decided to check this place out for breakfast during our visit in Morehead City. So glad we did!! . The breakfast was delicious! Prices were very reasonable. It was fairly busy and wait staff kept the place hopping!!. Busboy was on top of every vacant table and immediately cleaned it. Upon people entering the restaurant, there was always someone looking to provide seating. While we were there a party of eleven came in and within 10 min they were accommodated. “So if you are in Beaufort NC anytime, you must do yourself a favor a grab a cheeseburger from this killer pool hall right in the heart of downtown Beaufort! They are so kind and always whipping up delicious food on the flat top!
I recently took their raw patties with me on a quick trip to The Cabins at Cape Lookout National Seashore and wow can’t beat that burger and the salty air!“

“My husband wanted to try Fried Soft Shell Crab and while we were in Beaufort NC we saw that Blackbeard’s had it on the menu. He ordered the build your own combo with the shrimp. He thought it was phenomenal and said the shrimp was the best he has had. I tried a cup of the Chowder and the Bisque. Both were really good but the chowder was my favorite. Carol our waitress was amazing, we were asking her about the soft shell crab and she gave us some history on the place. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.“

“I’m not good with remembering names, so apologies in advance. I stopped here after doing a full day offshore fishing that I woke up at 4:30AM. After being seasick and having no appetite until I got off the ship, I went to the Promise Land Market. The tall gentleman did a great job helping me with my order and providing me with my sweet tea as I waited for my order. He said I was welcome to drink it as I waited and he would refill it, which was GREATLY appreciated.

He had a coworker that was working there watching the front while he went to the back. She told me she was from NY. After some chit chat with her, as soon as I finished my drink, she immediately refilled it, no questions asked. And eventually on the third refill, she got me a larger container so that I could quench my thirst better. Overall great service from the staff from my experience. And they were very authentic with their interaction with me so I feel that they are genuinely nice people.

You can find good food everywhere these days, not so much with service and genuinely nice people. This interaction was the cherry on top of my overall experience in Morehead City.

“I've been dining at both restaurants for years and enjoyed myself ,the food , and the staff! The food and sides at Morehead have a better flavor, taste better ,and the portions are much bigger. I ve notice that recently on my last couple times that the sides are much better at both restaurants. The mash potatoes in Morehead are so delicious. I wish that was the same case at the emerald isle restaurant. The Cole slaw is the best that I have taste recently. I swear if the food was as good as the sides have been lately I wouldn't eat anywhere else. SNAPPPERZ KEEP IT UP!“

“To me, the mark of a great BBQ joint is their brisket ... and ... well ... Smithfields does not have brisket. But, what they lack in fully embracing the full spectrum of BBQ, they make up with their pulled pork. Tender, juicy and bursting with that Carolina tang! Loved it!!! But of course you have to lean into that vinegar side of BBQ ... and for me I am full tilt.

And ... the Brunswick Stew was def worth the taste. Heavy in pork ...light in veggies ... but hey, what's wrong with that - right?“

“Pleasantly surprised. My last experience with Longhorn wasn't so good. This one was exponentially better. Got a ribeye, medium rare. It was actually medium rare and was melt in the mouth delicious. Cooked with butter, tons of flavor. Ceasar salad was great. Got the honey brussels, just so so. Should have gotten mashed or baked potato instead. Service was great! On point and very attentive. Total bill was $75 for three people, bit of a (good) shock for the quality of the steak. Glad I gave it another chance!“
