“The Wheelhouse is a GREAT spot to hang out. Whether you're visiting for a weekend or a local, you always feel welcome at The Wheelhouse. Many nights there is live music or fun and games like music bingo. Often food trucks set up to offer local favorites. And of course you can enjoy your favorite beverages. The Wheelhouse is also a great place to watch the game with several big screen TVs. And if your pet is friendly, The Wheelhouse is pet friendly. Hope to see ya'll there soon!“

“Pretty decent "dive" bar on the beach. The space is great... but way too new looking to be a real dive bar. But the beers were cold and the other customers were quite friendly. Bar staff was a bit indifferent and not friendly when we ordered. Not unfriendly... just not friendly.
Fair number of TVs for watching sports and they've got a Wii if you are so inclined.
I would definitely stop in again for beers.“

“All time favorite bar in Carteret County. Would recommend to anybody. The service is fantastic. Favorite off the menu is 'salty bank.' They have an option for a bartenders pick. They ask what you normally like such as flavors and they make a drink involving flavors and liquor you enjoy. I've tried every drink on the menu and haven't found 1 flaw. Environment is cozy and romantic. Music choice is good and there is normally sports playing on their tv. I've found that this bar can get super busy especially during peak summer season. If you go around 5-6 though you will definitely be able to get a seat at the bar. Great location and great experienced bartenders.“

“Nice spot in downtown Morehead City with great food good variety, great service and an awesome bar. The food is not your standard bar food, they have unique items and a variety of types of food. Full bar, TVs to watch sports, etc... definitely worth the trip!“

“I would never visit Beaufort and not stop by this place. Don’t let the size or location fool you this is a #1 stop for the best musicians around. Always a good time and the local folks make it fun with their welcoming and friendly smiles and handshakes. I played an Open Mic there last year and hope to play there one day. Do yourself a favor and follow them here on Facebook and stop down for a great time. See YOU at the Backstreet Pub! Cheers!“

“We celebrated our 35th anniversary with a wonderful experience at 34 North. The food was incredible. We did not need the steak knives to cut our steaks very tender. Used the regular case knives. The water views were great and the ambiance was laid back but upscale. Our server, Shannon, was excellent. She provided great recommendations and was polite and attentive. We enjoyed her as our server. Based upon her recommendation we returned to the next morning for their delicious blueberry pancakes. So glad we did. The restaurant is off the normal Beaufort waterfront but is worth the 5 minute drive to another waterfront with fantastic sunsets! Highly recommend this establishment.“

“Food was amazing. The service was outstanding. The only complaint that I had and they couldn't help. It was those people from Raleigh that wanted to continue to b**** about everything, and thanks to my second martini, I didn't give them a little bit of local redneck, and tell them to go back to Raleigh Like I wanted to, but Yep, Yep, it was an amazing meal. “If you want the best pizza in Beaufort look no further. We stopped by and had a choice of seating in either the hip store to the left or more traditional place to the right. Same great food. We chose the left and had spectacular service from Sean. A great local resource he went out of his way with service you only find in expensive venues. The pizza is true brick oven and the ingredients were fresh. They have a sofa sitting area near the fireplace that caps your evening. We had bourbons. Perfect evening.“

“They are on summer hours now! 11am - 2am. First time eating at King Mac’s, and boy it didn’t let us down!!! Under new management now and the staff is awesome, food was even better! “We drove 2.5 hours to eat. The best seafood around. The hostess, waiter and manager made the meal even better as we arrived 10 minutes before they closed, they still welcomed us in as if they were not getting ready to close. You won't find a better place to eat.“
