Story time: I took my fiancé to Puerto Nuevo the day before our wedding day. We had just finished setting up the scenery and went to get food-she loves Mexican food. She ordered a salad, which was chill, but I on the other hand got a Combo 25- Cheesy Gordita Supreme Secret. The food was mid, but I still slammed that how. Puerto Nuevo Mexican & Seafood Restaurant is a great Mexican restaurant with fresh food and great flavor. The atmosphere is perfect for families and anyone who wants a mix of elegance and comfort. Plenty of parking and views of Sugar MTN add to the experience. The salsa bar is a highlight, with mango salsa, many salsa options and complimentary chips. Birria tacos, the Combination #4 with beef or chicken, the chicken, pork and shrimp fajitas and the seafood boil are favorites. The carrot cake is a sweet finish. Service is excellent, staff are well dressed, polite, attentive and check often. The portions are generous and the seasoning and preparations work together to perfection. The patio is large, dog friendly and has pretty views. The restaurant is a top tier for Mexican food in the area and will keep returning.
