When you walk up to this snack bar in the foothills of Black Mountain, you just don't know what you're in for... It looks like a typical place with typical food, but it is not... It is fun and it is friendly and it is fabulous!! We got the Foothills Burger and the Carolina Dog with a basket of fries. We asked for the burger and dog cut in half to share. I don't know what kind of hot dog that was, but it was so good!! The casing snaps when you bite into it and the toppings, holy cow!! YUM! Then, onto the burger! It had a slight crunch on the edges that were heavenly!! It was so, so tasty!! The fries were perfectly fried, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, and complete salty goodness!! I will drive the 1 1/2 hours just to get this same exact meal all over again!!! Take the trip, make the drive, get the food!! You won't regret it!!
Nice place to stop and have a drink! And try to open the safe!! They serve food but we didn't order.

Came for a late lunch with a group of friends during the Sourwood festival. As expected, it was very busy, but we managed to find seating inside. Had a Carolina dog (NC delicacy) and it was good. Friendly and efficient service. Will be back.
