Hours of operations should be listed as “close early if it’s not busy”. I didn’t realize that posted operating hours was just a suggestion. I arrive at 7:55 PM on Saturday 1/10/2026 and the worker said “we’re closed” that was it, no apology or suggestion on where to go or even a reason why they were closed well before the posted closing time. It was a Saturday night too. If that happens to anyone else I can recommend Thai basil. They were open till they said they were open even though it wasn’t super busy and the food was amazing!!

Came here for the kids play area. They have a sand pit with kids construction type trucks for the kids to scoop and play. Got some draft beers to sit and hang out after a hike while the kids burn off energy. The kids did not tire of this area and it was well kept and clean. Also ordered the fries, which are delicious but made with beef tallow.

We were on a day trip to Asheville and Black Mountain. We were walking around and found Foothills Grange. The Carolina burger was delicious! The sparkling white wine was really good! Glad we found this place!

I really wanted to enjoy my meal here, but I was disappointed with the quality of the sandwiches I received. The chicken sandwich in particular had a burnt, over fried exterior that tasted more like scorched flour and seasoning than actual chicken. The burnt coating made the entire sandwich taste bitter and bland, with almost no real flavor coming through. The lettuce and toppings also didn’t help much because the stronger burnt taste overpowered everything.
The second sandwich fell apart easily and had the same burnt, dry pieces throughout, which made it difficult to enjoy. The presentation looked good at first, but the actual taste was unfortunately not what I expected.
The hot dog, however, was much better and honestly the highlight of the order. It was flavorful, well prepared, and didn’t suffer from the burnt issue the sandwiches had. The fries were also good and cooked well.
Because the hot dog and fries were solid, I’m giving two stars instead of one. But overall, the sandwiches were not to my taste, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who prefers a sandwich that isn’t burnt or overwhelmingly coated in scorched breading.

Chill vibes, great food and good views. Gluten free bun on their signature burger was SO GOOD. Great place for large groups and kids. Sand pit for kids to play in. Dog friendly too. Love their mission, supporting local farmers and butchers.

Hands down the best cheeseburger I've ever had. Great selection of craft beer and the spicy Bloody Mary is excellent. Not sure why people are complaining about busing their own tables. Most locally owned places do this. It's not an Applebee's!

The worst burger I've ever had! The Carolina burger was 2 micro thin greasy patties with a micro serving of runny canned chili and slaw on a floppy bun! I love slaw so I paid for an extra portion and it was the strangest and most tasteless waste of money. I didn't eat it and if I hadn't been so hungry I wouldn't have eaten the burger either. I regretted it immediately when I got a stomach ache and the runs! I heard the woman next to me complain about her greasy droopy fries. The only good thing was the outdoor patio seating but avoid the food!

The food was fantastic. The vibe was extra spooky (with our visit on Halloween). This place highlights many local breweries and cidery/ginger beers, with a cool list of mixed drinks too. The service was very efficient and this was an overall cool spot to stop at.
