If you're in Black Mountain, or even anywhere near Black Mountain, you must come here. The pastries are amazing! All of them ..all of the breads, brownies, cookies, tarts, rolls, bars...I load up every time I'm in the area.

So, this is a small bakery attached to the semi-legendary Red Rocker Inn. It's a few blocks off the main drag in Black Mountain, but worth the trip. The baked goods are excellent, but the real claim to fame is the repurposed claw machine outside in which they place their day old pastries. For 4 quarters, one gets unlimited attempts to snag a bacon croissant or almond roll or the like. More fun than you'd think.
