Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I’m an uber driver and went to pick up an order here. I waited 30 minutes just to be told “the order had been closed out an hour ago.” I asked the customer if anyone had picked it up yet, he said no. They did not offer to remake the order and basically acted like they couldn’t help me, as if it was my fault. Anyways, I lost out on $23, and it negatively impacted my cancellation rate on something that, again, wasn’t my fault that they handed the order out to someone else incorrectly. I won’t accept any more orders here and recommend that no one else does either unless you want to waste your time.

Food and the service was excellent, I highly recommend the lemon pepper grilled trout.

The Cracker Barrel in Boone, NC is where we ate this weekend. Our waitress was wonderful. The food was hot, and most delicious. We got the new campfire meals. The beef campfire meals were so good!!! Our three-year old grand and great grandson enjoyed all the vegetables. Our waitress made sure he was happy with his food too. We will be back soon.

Both the greeter and waitress were not the friendliest.

We arrived in the later morning and we're seated immediately. Our waitress was cordial and very attentive throughout our meal. Drinks were refilled promptly and ordering was quick with helpful questions and recommendations to make our breakfast complete. The food was prepared as ordered and it was delicious. We had enough leftovers to bring home for another breakfast. We have found Cracker Barrel to be consistently good wherever we travel.

We stopped at Cracker Barreling Boone NC on 12-31-2024. We ordered breakfast and it took about 50 minutes to get our food. The pancakes were terrible. My wife couldn’t hardly cut them. I immediately took them to the kitchen and requested to get fresher pancakes. The lady said they had similar complaints about the pancakes. How do you mess up pancakes? I also told the person when I paid my bill.

The Boone location needs a good cleaning. The lights are dusty. The lamps on the tables are nasty. The windows are nasty with food from kids hands. The vinegar bottle that was brought to use had food dried on the side. The catsup bottle had a broken lid. The waitress we had would not stay at the table long enough to ask for a tea refill. Our glasses were empty and we had to call her back to the table to ask for more drink. I said to my family the bathroom was the cleanest place in the building.

We invited friends to join us for dinner since they had never been to this location. Dining room was very cold with ceiling fans running. Many diners had their coats on as did our friend. Waiter was very slow in taking our order, seemed confused about what we were ordering. My coffee was barely lukewarm and even a refill was still lukewarm almost cold. Waiter was nice but very slow and forgot to bring side dish until reminded. It also took a long time to get the check. Food was ok. The cold room was the worst part of our experience.

Cracker Barrel is a great eatery where ever you dine. My last experience was in Boone NC which may be the best CB I have ever dined at. Highly recommend.

Kid-friendliness: No better place to take children. The atmosphere is great.

Fast service and good. The food was at the correct temperature. Had to wait for about 30 minutes since we had a large group.

Dinner price good for smaller portions. Waitress was super great. Fast service. Store prices a bit much.
