“My wife and I stopped by Stonebowl House in Brevard for a late lunch and really enjoyed it. We started with the Kimchi PaJun, which was flavorful and nicely cooked. For mains, we had the Pork Belly stonebowl and the Squid stonebowl. Both arrived piping hot and the portion sizes were very generous—you’ll likely have leftovers to take home.
They also serve four small banchan plates with kimchi and other fermented vegetables, which was a nice touch and added to the overall experience. Service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and efficient. Prices were very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get.
I lived in South Korea for a year, so I’m fairly familiar with Korean food. While the flavors here weren’t quite as authentic as what you’d find there, this was a very close second and still very satisfying. My only small criticism is that I personally would’ve liked a bit more heat—the kimchi and stonebowls could have been spicier. That said, we’d definitely come back.“
