The Rice Wagon Reviews
The food brings me back to Oahu…only better. The location is perfect (in Cherokee and Bryson City). The service is spot on and the portion size is excellent.
Every single guide on our rafting trip told us to come here and get the garlic chicken.
Holy hell. I did and loved it so much we came back the very next day for lunch again. Had to have more of that garlic chicken.
Here it is , about two and a half months later and I find myself camping again in Bryson City and making my way back for more in a couple of hours.
I love to cook and tried to recreate it. I couldn’t. Theirs is soooooooo hella good!!!!!!!!
Ordered two combo plates, one with Hurricane Chicken and Kalua Pork and the other with Chicken Katsu and Kalua Pork. Both were delicious! Will definitely be back.

The Rice Wagon is a food truck located behind a tavern, celebrated for its unique blend of poké bowl and Korean BBQ flavors at reasonable prices. The menu showcases delicious dishes, including the must-have Ahi tuna bowl and addictive Kalua pork, appealing to even the pickiest eaters. Customers can enjoy their meals at two picnic tables outside or inside the nearby brewery, where they can pair their food with a selection of beers. Many visitors commend the friendly and superb service, as well as the quick food preparation. The chicken katsu is noted for its authentic flavor, reminiscent of traditional dishes from Japan, while the burger is chargrilled and accompanied by tasty grilled onions and a side of macaroni salad that even those who usually dislike it find enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the prices are excellent. Overall, The Rice Wagon has become a go-to spot that leaves customers excited to return for more on their next visit to Bryson City.
