Never have I had a worse meal. We had a party of six took about 30 mins to be seated (which is to be expected). Once we finally ordered, took nearly and hour for our food. Once our food came 5 of the six orders were very wrong. The waitress never apologized for any of the mistakes. The hostess did apologize repeatedly, saying she was speechless by the amount of things that went wrong.
I will never return to the restaurant.
So disappointed. My family and I have traveled to Surfside Beach for vacation for over 50 years. While there, it is customary to make the almost hour trip to Calabash to eat at Dockside. We have always loved Dockside and have been loyal customers because of their great food and service over the years. Today was different. My daughter ordered shrimp scampi. While some dishes may be disappointing, other options like the Calabash-style popcorn shrimp and fried clam strips are very tasty and filling.
The restaurant has delicious food, including calabash seafood platters, hush puppies, and a variety of seafood meals. Customers have enjoyed the shrimp scampi, which was very good. The service is great, and the views of the water are stunning. The restaurant has ample seating, even on busy Saturday evenings, and the iced tea and fries are highly praised.
