Average quality. Service was a bit rushed. I thought it was expensive for the product.

Finally got the chance to dine in during peak hours and was very impressed with the experience! Most folks probably don’t think twice about the miso soup that comes out as the appetizer, but for me, it’s so rare to find a place that actually makes it correctly and flavorful—they nailed it and my picky kindergartener slurped up every drop with approval. ❤️ Also of note, I’ve found most sushi places don’t put enough vinegar/sugar into the sushi rice to get that authentic flavor. They nailed it again. It was like my mother was in the kitchen cooking food for me and my family. ❤️ They were incredibly busy, understandably so, but every single one of the staff we interacted with (from wait staff to sushi chefs) was attentive, pleasant and kind—which is also rare to find in general, but especially for such a fast paced environment. Thanks to the management and all of the staff who made our experience so enjoyable. Can’t wait to go back for seconds. ❤️

Still our favorite after all these years. Lovely, fresh fish, creative specials, but also a great core menu that we always look forward to. And don’t sleep on the sushi burritos at lunch, always a fun change up. Staff is always super helpful and friendly, we love Akai Hana.

Akai Hana is one of our go to favorites, and it is great sushi, especially for the value! We typically go heavy on the salmon and tuna Nigiri, and then usually get the dragon roll, geisha roll, crunchy, shrimp, and master roll. The ginger salad and miso soup are also solid!Vegetarian options: Jade roll is great if going veg!Parking: There aren’t many parking spots right at the store, but there is a lot behind, and some street spots nearby.Kid-friendliness: Fine atmosphere for kids.

Fresh, delicious sushi and a wonderful atmosphere! There was a pianist playing close to our table, which really added to the ambiance. This will be our new go-to sushi spot!

Solid Japanese food in the area. The sushi burritos were very tasy and large. The sushi was above average but not the best I've had (too much rice for my liking). The chicken teriyaki was surprisingly dry, especially given that it was dark meat. The special pork belly musubi was wonderful.
