50 years ago - This afternoon we visited Anderson Pecan Pie in Charlotte. On this date we spent the entire evening into the morning hours deciding how to move on in our relationship. Everyone was against us. All night long they allowed us to sit and eat pecan pie and drink coffee! It was there we decided to elope! Pecan pies are my favorites and I am a picky eater. These pies pass the test as the best I have ever tasted. They have pecan halves rather than pieces and the are sweet tasting without being too sweet . They are the best I have ever had and they are open for business. I met the owner Gary, and he was a very nice guy. I love supporting local businesses and HIGHLY recommend Andersons.

Being born and raised here in Charlotte, I grew up eating Anderson’s food as well as their pecan pies! I stopped in on Monday and purchased a pecan pie for my Buffalo NY born and bred husband who lives by the pecan pies from Walmart! The owner was so nice and after one bite it took me back to my childhood memories of eating pecan pie during the holidays.
