This is my favorite place to get toiletries, supplements and bulk tea. They have a great selection of snacks, supplements, and personal care products, as well as local products like desserts, fruits and veggies. There is a little smoothie shop/kitchen in there as well and they have freshly prepared, prepackaged meals like pasta salad that you can get for a quick lunch. The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It’s a great, local shop.
I’ve been buying bulk herbs and spices from Berrybrook for almost twenty years. I’ve always had a good experience and love the down to earth atmosphere. I’m so thankful they survived where it seems every other health food store in Charlotte has closed down. We need to support these locally owned treasures while we still have them.
New here from San Francisco, I sought out true healthfood stores which are a staple in California. Berrybrook rocks and is a 'tiny mighty' old -school style shop (all the way down to that awesome wooden plank floor). As a dental hygienist, they have excellent oral health products for the community. As a 40-year long vegetarian/health nut, they've got it all. Not an abundance of bulk items, but enough to nourish you. I'll be back to try a smoothie or lunch.
