Pulled pork was practically a puree & had no pork texture. Collard greens were very tangy, not good, not bad, just really tangy. Mac & cheese, hush puppies & fried pickle were all decent but I wouldn't spend $25 on it again
Had to try some Carolina BBQ while passing through Charlotte! Brisket and pulled pork had good flavor, definitely taste the vinegar based finishing sauce, but the bbq sauce was a sweet smoky bbq sauce - more of Texas. The sides were not good. Bland, lacking flavor, and the biscuit was very dry and had been out for a long time! And not cheap! $34 for a two-meat platter. Was a lot of food, but a hard pass for me next time!
Got the brisket platter with collard greens, fried okra, and hushpuppies. Everything had a great flavor, but the brisket was a little dry. Maybe a little more sauce could've helped, but 30 minutes less in the smoker would've done it.
