Absolutely one of the best Italian restaurants in the Charlotte area. So sad to hear the news they are closing. We had to visit one final time to enjoy the food. My family has been coming here for over 20 years, we remember it before they expanded and had the main dining room. The owner (Paulo) remembers our daughters when they were little girls and we would come to pick up pizza after their dance class. He always comes by to say hello and joke about how they have grown up. He will still play the chicken dance song for them like he did when they were little. I will also mention that my mother used to call and get me a gift certificate...
This place is awesome!!!!! We used to go here when we lived in the area. Haven't been back in ten years until now when we were in town. It is everything we remembered. The bread is excellent and they have an olive oil infused with rosemary and garlic to dip in. Amazing! The fried calamari was cooked perfectly. Other apps were great too. All our entrees were excellent. And portions were generous. We were so pleased that the gentleman who plays the accordion was still playing....
