Customshop in Charlotte offers a consistently awesome food and amazing service. This charming small restaurant has a strong following, known for expertly and creatively prepared food using local seasonal produce. The elevated yet casual atmosphere makes it perfect for any occasion, whether it's a romantic night out or a meal with friends. Guests appreciate the nice lighting, music, and beautiful restroom wallpaper. The environment is cool but fairly loud, making it a bit challenging to hear conversations at times. The friendly staff, including the efficient servers, add to the overall enjoyment of the visit. Food portions may be a little smaller, but the emphasis on quality over quantity shines through with dishes like crudo, burrata, and gemelli pasta, all made with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Reservations are recommended as tables fill up fast, especially since the restaurant is often busy. The food is always good, the wine spot on and the service is impeccable. The atmosphere was dark yet relaxed. Had a couple of appetizers (local lettuce and empanadas) both were delicious and flavorful. For entrees, tried the blue crab pasta and the halibut. We thought the blue crab offered great flavors. Also had the flan for dessert; pettite but tasty. This is one of the better fine yet casual dining in CLT.
