My wife and I had a great experience at this comfortable restaurant. Christian was our server and was very engaging and offered delicious options. I can't speak highly enough of the food. We had Oysters on the half shelf and they were outstanding. The smashburger was the best we've eaten. For dessert, he offered a muscadine Spumoni which I questioned but found it truly amazing. Savannah, the restaurant manager came by, and we had a delightful conversation with her as well. Truly 5 stars, both staff and food!!

Stopped at Dogwood to see my friend Laura after the soccer game this weekend. The ambiance of the restaurant was cool and elevated. My mom and I both ordered a cocktail called the banana bird which was the perfect nightcap for our evening. Laura took me to the second floor so we could get a birds eye view of the restaurant, and it was amazing! John took great care of us in the lounge while my mom and I enjoyed the smash burger together. Looking forward to visiting Dogwood again.

Laura is amazing! First time in Charlotte and staying for a conference. Laura was so personable along with great service. She truly connected with our whole group and was such a great host. Will definitely recommend and come back again!

My evening at The Dogwood was wonderful, and I want to recognize Laura for truly exceptional service. She was warm, knowledgeable about the menu, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. She anticipated what I needed before I even had to ask and made excellent suggestions along the way. Laura has a natural sense of hospitality that makes you feel genuinely taken care of, not just served. The Dogwood is lucky to have her — I’ll definitely be back because of her.

Review: Dogwood Southern Table & Bar – Remarkable Service Inside the Westin Charlotte

Dogwood Southern Table & Bar inside the Westin Hotel in Charlotte completely exceeded my expectations. The place has a great vibe, elegant but comfortable, with a big bar that wraps around the space and gives it an energetic and social feel.

I was in town for a convention and went multiple times over several days, and what stood out the most was the consistency. The restaurant was always busy, yet the staff managed the crowd with ease while keeping the service friendly, attentive, and efficient. That kind of coordination and quality is something you rarely see in large hotel restaurants.

The food was excellent, full of flavor and beautifully presented, and the drinks were just as impressive. Everything felt well executed from start to finish.

All in all, Dogwood Southern Table & Bar is a must-visit if you are in Charlotte. Even if you are not staying at the Westin, it is worth stopping by for great food, amazing drinks, and truly exceptional service.

Great cityscape window views. It is a higher end. Take on southern food. Not bad, but nothing beats original style southern food. Worth a visit.
