Midwood Smokehouse Reviews
Had food catered at my God-daughter reception this past weekend. Food was horrible for such a large crowd. Cornbread was raw, collard greens were big and leafy. Broccoli casserole had no taste. Nobody enjoyed the Mac and cheese either. Guests complained all night.
This was my first visit to the Raleigh location on May 28, 2025 with two out of town guests. three diff dishes were ordered..brisket, St. Louis rubbed ribs and burnt ends. The brisket and burnt ends were amazing. The ribs however were dry and tough. The meat certainly did not fall off the bone. I would not recommend the ribs based on this experience.
That was a great last minute surprise.
Combo with cheddarwurst, slaw, puppies and baked beans were all fantastic. Thank you. Looking fwd to next time.

Midwood Smokehouse offers a solid dining experience, with servers promptly seating guests despite the busy atmosphere. The Carolina BBQ sandwiches and Cobb Salad are well-received, though the prices for drinks can be unexpectedly high. Recently, the restaurant has been praised for its tasty food and quick service, especially suited for airport visits. Dishes such as brisket and burnt ends received high marks, while St. Louis rubbed ribs were described as dry and tough, not falling off the bone. Visitors also enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, noting that the beans taste better when served hot. Overall, the restaurant provides a great option for airport dining, with efficient service and flavorful barbecue, making it a convenient and satisfying choice.
