They have a roach issue at this location. While I waited in the drive thru to place my order I witnessed at least 3 cockroaches outside of the establishment and the door to their kitchen was wide open, there were boxes outside of the door and there was a roach climbing on it.
Clean restaurant serving hot food.

Absolutely avoid this one, love some Popeyes but the employees here are useless. 25 minutes to make an order and they “forgot” about it. Super busy playing on phones and sitting around.
The food was good but I had to wait a long time and there was hair in my chicken wrap. I'm so disgusted.
Understaffed restaurant. Made me come in to pick up my order, chicken was sour tasting and the sauce was no better.

This is the worse Popeyes location I’ve been to in the city of Charlotte. I placed a mobile order and pulled up to the driveway for pickup and they literally made me go inside the location stating that all orders are to be picked up inside. What’s the purpose of placing a mobile order? The ratings on this location are horrible and I see exactly why. The employees are extremely rude and unprofessional. The owner needs to reevaluate how this restaurant is run.
I visited this Popeyes and i wish i didnt. I arrived at 10:20 pm 3/14/25 to get 3 chicken sandwiches and a chicken leg kids meal. Before i could order the lady taking my order states that their systems are down and that they could only take cash. I told her i would get cash and come back she says ok. The ATM is directly beside the store so about 2 minutes i head back over to order my food. The lady says the same thing again, Systems are down and they can only take cash. I told her i have cash and she proceeded in taking my order. While she is taking my order she tells me all she has is one sandwich and she can only do a chicken tender kids meal. I told her thats fine but could she drop the sandwiches since they take about 10 minutes. She then says they are about to close and that she already has cleaned and put everything up for the night, Mind you this is at about 10:24pm. I asked her whats the point of having the place open if you cannot order, obviously corporate or whoever owns this place does not know what she is doing deciding when to close this establishment. Its people like her that are the reason places like Wendy's and BK are closing stores its the people they choose to run these businesses. 0 stars if i could.
I visited this location on Wednesday evening and I want to sincerely thank the lady manager and the male cook who were the only two staff members working that day. Despite being severely understaffed and dealing with a broken soda fountain machine, they still managed to provide great customer service and serve decent food. They were severely short staffed so my expectations were low in regards to the food quality. Nonetheless, the young black woman and manager, in particular, remained calm, professional, and composed throughout it all—may God bless her!
That said, it’s unacceptable for them to be put in that position. Corporate seriously needs to step in and hire more workers for this location ASAP!!! It’s unfair and unsustainable to expect one manager and one cook to handle a full store and all the DoorDash orders on their own.
They didn’t have what I asked for in my dine in order, granted I used my receipt this time for the free 2 piece and biscuit with purchase of large drink. I asked for two spicy thighs. I ended up was spicy thigh and mild thigh. At least it wasn’t dry like another location ( north Tryon street ) but I had to ask for my drink twice, my receipt. Nobody as a customer is here except for drive thru and it’s only a few vehicles. Wasn’t busy here. Chicken was decent here. Just tighten up on customer orders and attitude when asking for what already is common sense such as a receipt and the actual item I paid for to get the deal. Didn’t even get napkins.

Hair in my food
One of the managers was exceptional on handling a small issue
Thanks Lumar
Came to this location at 4:40pm and sat in the drive through for 5 minutes, then attempted to go inside and was stopped and told they were closed yet the sign stated they closed at 11pm. Very unprofessional
Worst Popeyes experience ever. The biscuit was so hard I could have used it for a hammer. The chicken tenders had a weird taste to them like they were fried in old oil or something, but they just tasted off. I also ordered spicy tenders but they gave me regular ones and I didn't realize until I was too far away to make it worth returning. The fries were at least decent, but I couldn't even finish two of the tenders. I actually ended up getting nausea a few hours later but I can't directly attribute it to the food. I have been to plenty of Popeyes before, but will definitely not be back to this one.
The worst Popeyes I’ve ever tried to do business with I actually ate there twice in one day manager was very nasty came to work with her two kids sitting in the lobby all day long then come outside to me and tell me that I need to leave because I was letting my phone charge up, but first I spent my money to eat and they decide to give me my receipt tow up when I say restaurants corporate needs to be very mindful of the people they decide to let run their stores because I think is very rude to run. Great customers away from spending money. We need each other out here today.
