Definitely a good restaurant. I had fried chicken and catfish, with mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, and collard greens as the sides. The chicken and mashed potatoes were good, but it was the catfish, collard greens, and Mac and cheese that really were great! The collard greens were seasoned very well and the catfish was well breaded (it didn't come off as I was trying to eat it). I will be coming back again for sure. Based on customer reviews, Queen's Soul Food is a nice cozy place to relax and eat. The service is top notch and friendly, with staff described as absolutely wonderful, respectful, and professional. Some dishes are praised, such as the jerk chicken, which had amazing flavor and was probably the best in over a decade. The smothered pork chops over rice and gravy were flavorful but salty in areas with hard rice. The bourbon chicken was a bit sweet, missing something, and a little dry. Sides like collards, black eyed peas, and Mac cheese were described as too salty, sweet, or containing too much vinegar. One reviewer noted the sweet potato pie was missing a little brown sugar. Unfortunately, the sides were prepackaged, and the soda dispenser was out of order. While some customers will return, others doubt they will go back due to the food. There is plenty of parking in a shared shopping center lot, and some seating inside for dine-in.
