I came to Charlotte from Va and googled “black owned seafood spot” West End comes up in the choices! From the moment my husband and I walked in until we left it was exceptional customer service and hospitality! The owner was very knowledgeable on the different fish and was so happy to assist us! I came here with family and friends who heard that WES had great food. I had no expectations only because I didn't know anything about the restaurant. However, I was excited to see the high reviews on social media. I was very impressed when we arrived. Parking was no issue (we came on a weekday afternoon), and the store was very very clean inside and the staff was super friendly! Need fish crab oysters crawfish Purty much any kind of seafood you can prob get it here! Regrettably I'm allergic to much of it but hubby loves it! They also offer ready to eat options notably po boys. Lots of folks coming n going so it must be good! One thing I did notice which I've heard is a good sign is it didn't smell fishy but rather like the ocean
