“Located roughly 6 miles from Hanging Rock State Park down a gravel road that looks like it’s going to take you somewhere from wrong turn. When we first arrived the building looked like an average country dive bar but the inside was surprisingly nice.
We got there a little late but the bartender gave us a beer even after last call. So many beers on draft to choose from!

This place also sits on the river and you can rent kayaks for the day which is a nice surprise. Also, there was a sign about the snakes on the patio. Kinda wanna know the history of it.”

My wife and I had our wedding catered and we had the smoked brisket, lemon chicken, baked mac n cheese, dill potatoes, cobblers, fruit tray, and much more and WOW is an understatement. The chili on my burger was really good. Burger was seasoned perfectly 🤌 Plus it was huge. Can’t believe I ate the whole thing 🤣 My daughter got a burger and said it was very good! My son got an all beef hotdog and loved it. Definitely kid-approved! Will definitely eat here again! We’ll be trying the wings next time 🤩”

“A homogeneous salsa blend with chips was served quickly in the bar area of this 50 odd year restaurant, a building thats been around prior to others in the area. Friendly waiter brought out a beef burrito with rice and beans. Upon serving the drink, he noticed that the glass was slightly dirty and brought a cleaner glass.

“I live near Milanod in Walnut Cove, and eat their food three times per month. It is so consistent. The all meat Stromboli is great. Pizza is solid too, thin or hand tossed crusts are good for me, meat lovers or whatever. Get 2 large one toppings and get a free bread stick order. The buffet is good, they have a chocolate dessert pizza; it is a nice way to finish of lunch on Sundag.”

“Not a place to dine in if you are looking for romance or a night out. HOWEVER! The take out is perfect. The dumplings were exceptional, fresh and a good serving. I ordered egg drop soup and it was spot on. No pets or carrots- exactly how I had hoped.
I only ordered appetizers to take home and eat since it was late for a big meal. But I'm sure to give them a try. It is a family run business. Supporting small local businesses in Walnut cove.”
