“First time here. Best little ice cream and coffee shop. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, the great tasting ice cream, the lady who served us was so very nice. We sat outside in the warmth and enjoyed the beauty of this town. To finish up our visit we shopped and picked up a few things created by local artisans at the Arts Place located in the same building.”

My wife and I had our wedding catered and we had the smoked brisket, lemon chicken, baked mac n cheese, dill potatoes, cobblers, fruit tray, and much more and WOW is an understatement. I’m salivating typing this! You’d be doing yourself a disservice by passing these guys and gals up!!!”

“This is the place to go for pizza, pasta, and just everything. I come here all the time especially if I'm doing laundry next door. Fair priced for the great portions you get and quality food. Come here for some real pizza and wings!”

“A homogeneous salsa blend with chips was served quickly in the bar area of this 50 odd year restaurant, a building thats been around prior to others in the area. Friendly waiter brought out a beef burrito with rice and beans. Upon serving the drink, he noticed that the glass was slightly dirty and brought a cleaner glass.

“Not a place to dine in if you are looking for romance or a night out. HOWEVER! The take out is perfect. The dumplings were exceptional, fresh and a good serving. I ordered egg drop soup and it was spot on. No pets or carrots- exactly how I had hoped.
I only ordered appetizers to take home and eat since it was late for a big meal. But I'm sure to give them a try. It is a family run business. Supporting small local businesses in Walnut cove.”

“I'm giving it 4 stars because there are quite a few less than stellar reviews, and one of the common things seems to be the amount of food. I got a hibachi chicken to go. There was less food than I normally get at other Japanese restaurants. It was good and they did give me 2 cups of white sauce. They were small but i didn't run out. That was a plus”

“A young lady named Ashley is the best sandwich barista. I went a month ago, and ordered some sandwiches on line. They were made incorrectly and she gave me some of my money back (paid for double meat and wasn't on the sandwich). She went above and beyond. I tried a different location, once again they made my sandwiches incorrectly...but refuse to acknowledge that they made them wrong. I will NEVER go back to the other place. I will drive 20 mins away or more to get to the Walnut Cove Subways, if it means that Ms. Ashley will make sure my order is correct. She's one amazing employee. She definitely deserves a raise. She ALWAYS seems to be there whenever I'm ordering online or pop in.”
