The Paper Canoe Reviews
Service: Milan is a very personable and knowledgeable waiter. We had an excellent meal, he guided us expertly through the menu and the specials. He made the evening very enjoyable. We will definitely return. Sunset, wine selection, excellent food, and top-notch service made for the perfect birthday celebration.
Last night we arrived at the paper canoe, expecting to be seated at a table for my birthday dinner. We are locals and did not realize that my husband had accidentally booked a table at the bar. The Paper Canoe is an excellent restaurant that offers great food and top-tier service. Reservations are highly recommended to secure a spot, especially on busy nights. Guests may enjoy the personable and knowledgeable service of staff members like Leslie and Milan, who enhance the dining experience. The bar area is also a fantastic place to enjoy drinks crafted by skilled bartenders. However, some drinks might be made with small ice cubes, which can alter the flavor. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect for date nights or anniversary celebrations. Overall, the food is scrumptious, with standout dishes like Steak, Chicken dinner entrees, Beef Wellington, fried oysters, shrimp and grits, and delicious desserts such as creme brûlée. The staff is friendly and attentive, contributing to a wonderful dining experience. Some guests have noted that the restaurant can get very loud when full, suggesting the need for sound deadening. Despite this, the views of the sound and the great wine list keep diners coming back for more.
