Nice place in new (-ish, now) building near The Area Formerly Known As South Square. Lots of windows & a bar. Seemed quiet for that time of day. Good pizza & good people. Had a beer & a quite large pizza, white. Quite distinctive crust. I believe I had to take some home, which is rare for me. I hope to get back sometime soon — with my wife this time. Pretty sure Matt Kelly had something to do with opening this place, which is usually a very good sign. :-D
Best pizza in Durham! Pizza was so good, I went looking for the man that made it lol 😆! perfect spot to come with friends and have a great pie! Whoever says it’s not good pizza is just hard to please tbh 😒…
First time dining here during our stay in Durham. We loved it all. Pizza; and pasta. Will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Based on the reviews, Dino’s Pizza offers high quality, tasty, NY Style pizzas with a great sauce and cheese. The crust has a nice crisp, good char, with a slight chew but not too tough. Toppings are definitely fresh and tasted great. The white mushroom pizza and mushroom pizza from the white section are recommended. The service is great, very attentive, and the environment is pretty good for Durham. It is a fun place, so welcoming, with covered outdoor seating next to a little grassy area great for kids. The garlic knots were great, and the Buratta was delicious. The pastas tried (Alfredo and vodka sauces) were good. However, the pizza is not consistently good; a plain cheese pizza is very soggy. The chicken wings with hot honey were tasteless, and the $15 calamari was a laughably small portion like tasteless jerky. As of March 31, 2026, they are closed on Tuesdays. For pick up, you cannot go by the time they give you, with one wait of an additional 45 minutes.
