Based on the reviews, Dino’s Pizza offers high quality, tasty, NY Style pizzas with a great sauce and cheese. The crust has a nice crisp, good char, with a slight chew but not too tough. Toppings are definitely fresh and tasted great. The white mushroom pizza and mushroom pizza from the white section are recommended. The service is great, very attentive, and the environment is pretty good for Durham. It is a fun place, so welcoming, with covered outdoor seating next to a little grassy area great for kids. The garlic knots were great, and the Buratta was delicious. The pastas tried (Alfredo and vodka sauces) were good. However, the pizza is not consistently good; a plain cheese pizza is very soggy. The chicken wings with hot honey were tasteless, and the $15 calamari was a laughably small portion like tasteless jerky. As of March 31, 2026, they are closed on Tuesdays. For pick up, you cannot go by the time they give you, with one wait of an additional 45 minutes.
