I went here a few months ago with a friend and the restaurant was completely dead, the hostess/server acted like she didn't want to serve us and was really abrasive and not at all welcoming. The food was really underseasoned, especially the fried green tomatoes, which were watery and flavorless. The staff showed no remorse to our concerns and we were really bummed by the end because the reviews looked good and the menu seemed pretty appetizing. I wish I could say one good thing but this ended up being the worse restaurant experience I've ever had.

Lots of outdoor seating at rows of picnic tables under cover. Nice bar area and some I door seating. Food is always good and fresh. Great drinks! Nice spot on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon.

I love this place. So many staff have watched my kids grow up over plates of fries and banana pudding. consistently one of the best run places in Durham

Lovely little place to grab a drink and some tasty food. Lots of covered outdoor seating and some booths inside. Overall a really enjoyable place to eat. Food and drinks were all delicious. The banana pudding dessert was fantastic.

DOG FRIENDLY!!! We took the dogs with us and they were given each their own bowl of water. I had eggplant parmigiana with homemade spaghetti and sauce made with lots of fresh garlic. Yummy! My BFF had a bacon cheeseburger with fried green tomatoes. My drink was their special watermelon tea which was delicious. Parking cost $10.00.

From the moment I walked in, the turkey sandwich and cider to the coffee and brownie (with ice cream), my experience was phenomenal. The food, atmosphere and staff were awesome!

This is a perfect restaurant To Me for these reasons:

- the food is wonderful and there is a seasonal menu and/or specials every time I go
- food options for most dietary restrictions
- the drinks are delightful, the pours are generous, and the bartenders are talented, kind, and easy to talk to.
- really solid bar selection including lesser-known wines and aperitifs.
- location!!

I <3 GSG!
