Had a killer time watching the Rattletraps last night! Bar is cool, funky, cozy. Awesome staff and a great sound system.
Rubies is truly one of the best spots in Durham, right up there with Surf Club. Bruce (manager? Lead bartender? Literally everything except the owner? Not exactly sure his role, but he sets the vibe) has created a rare space that reflects OG Durham charm while meeting the needs of the moment. He’s one of the top three bartenders downtown IMO. And he makes a margarita with fresh squeezed lime juice!! Dive vibes but real lime juice. This is my ideal.
Food was good first time eating there. My drink was good glass could've been a little bigger for the price that was paid. Otherwise everything else was great!
