We were in town to see the Van Pimpenstein show. We had a great time at Shooters. When the crowd on the ground floor became a bit too much, we went upstairs and it was perfect. The bartenders were nice, the drinks were fine, Epstein didn't kill himself.
I would give this place a 2 star review. I had to pay the $20 cover charge to get in of course(unless you're a duke student). Once inside the theme is very mid western. Which I understand appeals to a certain crowd. However the music is god awful. I lasted all of 45 minutes before leaving. Deciding instead to go to a club in Raleigh. That is a little more inclusive I wouldn't recommend, but to each his own .

I like the space a decent amount, but the old lady walking around like a know it all snatching non-alcoholic drinks and telling ppl off is very annoying. Good thing she walks off fast enough to not be corrected, would love to see them look as d*** as they act in a 18+ bar. ??
