The 51 House

Rode by there on Sunday 18Jun23 and they were closed, no signs out front indicating full or extended closure. We've dined at the 51 House before and our experience was ok but definitely would give it another run. Unfortunately, there's nothing online (FB, Yelp or other social media outlets) that gives any indication the restaurant intends to reopen in 2023. 51 House FB posts around 2020 COVID era indicates when NC goes into phase 3 it'd be in full swing but that was ages ago....read full review

Horrible service and cold food. Been there three times and had problems. One month ago we went there were two other people in the entire place and all food from appetizers to main course took forever to receive them. We sat at bar and bartender said they were told people sitting at bar are served last. This was crazy as we and the other two people were sitting at bar. We had a great meal. Service was friendly and efficient. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Good selection of beer and nice cocktail menu. The pumpkin "biscuit," provided as a per-appetizer warm-up, was fantastic. Super nice facility with fantastic views of the water.
