This is, hands down, the best Mexican restaurant in Elizabeth City! It’s my wife and my favorite place to eat. The food is always delicious, and the wait staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient. They’re quick to keep the chips and drinks refilled, which is always appreciated.
The food tastes authentic, and the signature white sweet sauce served alongside the salsa is the perfect complement to their fresh, crunchy tortilla chips. Every visit has been a great experience.
This restaurant is truly an Elizabeth City gem. 💎

Great experience. Stopped here on a whim. Ordered two lunch specials, a Margarita and an ice tea. $32. Free refills of chips. Friendly staff. Good was good and the right size for a meal.

Ordered 1 King burrito and 3 Plain Chorizo Tacos. king burrito is $11.50 tacos $8.95/$9.99 they can’t decide which one. Placed to-go order inside and the total came to $31.03. I asked for a receipt and they charged me $14.50 for the king burrito and $14.50 for the tacos. That’s about $5 a taco. And way off the menu prices. Came here to save money. Instead I left paying more. Please pay attention people.

We went to dinner using a $100 gift card. The food itself was great, and while the service was very slow, we weren’t in a rush and didn’t make an issue of it. When it was time to pay, our bill for 2 adults, 2 kids’ meals, and 2 specialty drinks came to about $75, then dropped to $65. I told the employee, Jesus, that our gift card was $100. He immediately told me it was only $10. He then brought over another woman, and both of them belittled me, telling me I was stupid for thinking I would receive a $100 gift card. They said even if it said $100, it was a “mistake” and they were not going to honor it. When I asked to see the gift certificate book to match the number on my card, Jesus pulled out several books, could not find the number, and then simply stopped looking. At that point, both employees continued to talk down to me and told me that if I didn’t pay, they would call the police. I went back to the table to speak with my husband and get our card, and while I was doing so, the manager stood right next to us with his phone in his hand, clearly trying to intimidate us. Being treated this way—especially in front of my family—was completely unacceptable, humiliating, and unprofessional. If my gift card clearly stated $100, it should have been honored or at the very least handled respectfully. Instead, we were insulted, threatened, and embarrassed. No customer should ever be treated this way. We will never return, and I strongly caution others.

The quality of the food is not the best. Taco beef upset my stomach, the service was ok. Menu said my meal came with rice and beans but server said, “only if the menu says it does” she never checked; I know it did because that’s one of the reasons I ordered it. .. I’m not going to argue over rice & beans. Their prices are decent for the quality of the food. C-

Been going for several years, last nights carnesada tacos were terrible, old chopped meat on double oily corn tortillas, doubt I'll go back, friendly folks but food is going down hill. Hope they get it together.
