“We stop here every year on our way home from Myrtle Beach. The bathrooms are clean, the service is wonderful! We get the home made ice cream and a basket of locally grown strawberries!Parking: Huge free parking lot”

“My friend wanted breakfast and recommended Dixie Burger. I ended up with a double bacon cheeseburger with the works. It was delicious and flavorful. Just the right amount of grease. Perfect melted cheese and chili. The fries were crinkled and crisp. As usual, I was unable to finish my meal because I was full. The place is small, but the food portions were plentiful. My friend got eggs and toast. That looked delicious. Someone next to us got the biscuits and gravy it looked so good. So, next time I am going to get their biscuits and gravy and go back for their burger.”

“This was the 3rd visit in a couple of months, I ordered the same flounder plate, The first two times were great. This time was not so good. Small portions and over cooked. Fries and Fish had soaked up the old dark oil which makes them hard around the edges. The flounder was small and thin. The salad was just right. ***This review is for a flounder plate with fries and a salad, not other items on the menu. I will review again for other items.”

“We swung by on the way through to the beach. I got an individual peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream and he got an apple crisp with butter pecan. Wow! They were both so delicious. The ice cream was smooth and creamy, the cobblers crisp and warm and beautifully spiced. Perfect portions. It was a very nice place to break up the trip.”

“I don't know where to begin!! I visited the restaurant on 03/15/2024. I was served by Linda who was warm & welcoming!! The food was AMAZING!!!!! I had an aunt with me from Connecticut who thoroughly enjoyed her meal also! You do have to buy a 1 year membership for $10 & there's a $5 cover after that to get in, but even very busy, the barmaid's were fast, Eric is a great sound man (for you karaoke types) and a very diverse crowd had a helluva lot of fun.GUYS: No tank tops. (I tried identifying as a bearded lady, but that didn't work....lol)Lots of tables, 2 pool tables, big dance floor. The outdoor area for smoking was really cool with a rustic flair to it. You won't go wrong spending your money here.”

“In town for work again. Just finished eating there for the second time. I dreamed about their tacos for a couple of months. Had steak, chicken, and shrimp tacos with cilantro and onion again. They are soooo good. This little restraunt has a classic canteena vibe, the food is outstanding and the hostess is so welcoming, and the tacos are outstanding. This restraunt definitely proves once again that the best food is found in the most surprising of places. This place is definitely worth the stop, and I highly recommend it and will most deffinatly be back .”

“I love La’Cabana! The food is delicious. The employees are awesome. If you can’t eat hot peppers or don’t want a certain type food they will fix it the way you ask them too if they can. Not a time that I went that they couldn’t fix certain things the way I wanted. I couldn’t eat spicy food nor did I like guacamole. They were more than happy to not add those in my meal. The cheese dip came with jalapeños but since I couldn’t eat jalapeños they fixed me a special little bowl of the cheese sauce. I’d recommend this place to anybody. I haven’t been in years because I moved to Wilmington 4 years ago but on one of my visits to see family I’m going to make it a point of stopping by and eat lunch or dinner. “Such a Gem!! We found Henry’s Uptown Cafe traveling through Rockingham, NC today!! I had the famous Grilled Chicken Salad and he had a grain fed cheeseburger with fresh cut fries ? The food was amazing and hot & fresh. I Loved all the strawberries with my salad ❤️They we’re celebrating 14 years in business and so we met the owner, Henry and they shared cupcakes with us which also were amazing ☺️☺️So stop in and enjoy great food and service but don’t wait they are only open 7am to 2pm Monday thru Saturday- We highly recommend this downtown hidden gem!!Parking: plenty of parking in the lot across from the cafeKid-friendliness: they have both grilled cheese and PBJ sandwiches”

“I was staying in nearby Ellerbe for a half marathon and couldn't find any restaurant there that served wine with dinner. Came across this deli in the neighboring town and was surprised to find such an array of options on the menu...and a full service bar! Food is like diner quality, but so are prices... very reasonable. Hearty, comfort food. A few vegetarian options, not a lot of vegan. But one can be creative when ordering if needed. Service was good and cook was accommodating. Pic is of the spud with mushrooms, pepper and onion. I scraped off the cheese. Salad was basic, but fresh. Fried pickles were delish. Lemon meringue pie was an indulgence.”

“Asked to have the toppings of my pizza on top, they didn't do it, I asked her twice when she took orders. My husband had to ask for more coffee after his cup was empty over ten minutes. Logically we would receive extra napkins when we order hot wings, we had to ask.They did give us a bill went to counter they said amount never showed us the ticket of what was charged.”

“they had great staff and fast services. i ordered catering for a party and it was a huge hit, everyone loved it. they did a great job of making my order perfectly and preparing it in time. i love stopping by to quickly grab lunch everyday. i would definitely recommend.”
