The scenery and decor are gorgeous, and it’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a date night, girls’ night, meeting up with friends, or just sitting down with a glass of wine and having a good conversation.

The food is Greek/Mediterranean style, so the portions are more controlled and meant to be enjoyed rather than huge, heavy plates. If you’re a big meat eater looking for a large steak-and-potatoes type meal that’s going to have you stuffed, this may not be your kind of place. The portions are reasonable and the focus is more on flavor, presentation, and sharing different dishes.

The food was good, but for me, the beauty and overall vibe of Vidrio really stand out. It feels classy without being too stuffy, and it’s a great place to slow down, enjoy your company, have a drink, and take in the atmosphere. Ajja is the first to fall into this category – from Ambience, Staff, and Culinary Creations – the restaurant has now raised the bar, challenging local restaurants to really push the envelope. Over the past 20 years, I have traveled to more than 68 countries, 33 states, and six continents. Often, the restaurants that truly rank higher are those you least expect. Restaurants that are set in more "local" areas, peculiar places, or just not in the typical outside setting that you would think when thinking of 5-star or Michelin-level culinary experiences. Ajja is nestled in the heart of the Five Points residential area, across the street from old-style craftsman homes. “We booked Neomonde to cater our wedding reception. From the very beginning, Neomonde made us feel welcome and valued. Saida was generous during the initial meeting and let us try many different options for food. We especially loved the Pomegranate Salad, Chicken Kabobs, and Mjadarah. At times, it was difficult to get in contact with the catering team, and there were some miscommunications during the contract process on what was included and what was not included. We were originally under the impression that plates, dinnerware, napkins, drinks, and cups would all be provided by Neomonde, but this was missed during the contract process. This resulted in a surprise during our wedding reception when our day-of-coordinator realized we didn’t have dinner plates or dinnerware. Neomonde was very adaptable though, and sent someone to bring plates and dinnerware immediately. Neomonde ended up bringing a third team member free of charge, but we didn’t have enough tips for a third server, and would have liked to know beforehand. The service through the entire wedding reception was stellar, and everyone thought the food was delicious! Our drinks were kept stocked throughout the whole event, cake was cut and served efficiently, and tables were cleared and taken care of. They boxed up all of the remaining food for our friends and family to take home, and cleaned the kitchen. We love Neomonde, and were ultimately very happy with the food!“

“We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Rosewater over Labor Day Weekend! The food was delicious and service was great. I would definitely recommend the biscuits as a starter, they were amazing! The atmosphere is also very nice with a lovely outdoor seating area and equally as pretty indoor space.“

The atmosphere is nice and the location is truly top-notch, especially for NC State students on Main Campus. The lady who serves the meals there is extremely nice and lovely.

“I have been to three different locations in the greater Raleigh area in the last several weeks. This location by far had the nicest people working there when we went. We didn’t realize we were walking in at closing time and received great service nonetheless and did not feel rushed to finish our meal. Very pleasant experience!“

“We catered three dinners for a group of about 70 and chose this restaurant specifically because part of our group required halal food. Overall, the food was a hit — the salads were generous and delicious, the hummus and tzatziki were enjoyable, and the pita, rice, and cookies were all well portioned. The one area we'd love to see improvement is the protein portions. Every dinner was a bit light on protein for a group our size. After the first night we called to request more and they brought it promptly, which we appreciated — though we were charged for the addition. Before our next delivery, someone did reach out by email to ask if I wanted to increase my order, which was a nice touch. However, the whole order didn't need to be increased — everything else was sufficient — it was really just the protein that needed adjusting, so I didn't respond. Unfortunately the protein portions remained the same for the remaining dinners. On one occasion we also ordered mixed chicken and steak kabobs and received quite a bit more chicken than steak. When I reached out, I was told people generally eat more chicken — but with a mixed order for a large group, we expected a more even balance. The food itself is really good and the staff was responsive. We just hope to see the protein portions better matched to group size in the future.“

Gyro was already cut they weren't keeping it hot enough within the steam table.....thus loosing a star. Baklava was good but used to be better. It used to be my favorite baklava anywhere. I believe they used to get it from Chapel Hill if I remember correctly. Been hitting both Hillsborough locations for many years when in Raleigh.“
